If the old site had the same address (or you have its original address) you could try the way back machine. Just an idea.

    Tripod Shooting- Saddles vs Clamps

With the new PIG saddle out, I'm curious to try a clamp style saddle with my tripod. Currently I am using the PRS saddle and have been quite pleased. What I like about it is I can quickly change positions. I can easily tilt the rifle up or down and still have support. I can also have some...

    Received GAP Gladius today!!

They are my two favorite models in the GAP lineup. I've often thought of building a similar setup to the Gladius.

    1st precision build (with pics.)

Well done. Cut it to 20" is my vote. ...I would've said 18", but with the big stock and heavy contour not much point in going too short. It will never be a 'light' rig. Optics: Nightforce F1 is the way to go. Hard to do better without spending a lot more. Add the NF rail to much the rings.

    Boretech Rods vs. Dewey Rods

I ordered a CF Tipton and it arrived with a bend right at the end. The cost of sending it back and forth made it a wash. I used Dewey without any complaints. Recently bought a Boretech because of the whole 'proof positive' marketing. It works fine. I like it. Is it better than the Dewey...

CZ 453 Varmint .22 Advice for Ring and Rail?

Thank you, yoteman. I ended up ordering some Warne rings, which were recommended on another forum. If my scope runs out of elevation, I will look at the Burris. At least .22 rings are cheap!

Rifle Scopes Nightforce: Make Lower Rings!

There is a Nightforce rep on the board, so hopefully more people will chime in with their agreement and maybe... just maybe...

    Source for Nylon and Velcro?

What kind of webbing is used on the high end slings, like the TAB gear? I would love to have some of that to make a belt out of. I've went to a few climbing stores to try and find some, but the webbing they have seems cheap in comparison...More like slippery plastic.

Rifle Scopes Nightforce: Make Lower Rings!

With a 32mm scope and now a 42mm finally out, I hope Nightforce starts making 'extra' low rings. Their Ultralights tend to be my first choice when ring shopping, but the lows could be lower- The 50mm NXS in lows on their 20moa rail already floats well above a Sendero contour. The 42mm will offer...

    Which bladder?

Source are okay. I have friends that use them and are satisfied, but they only hike a few times a year. They haven't held up for me. I've busted a few of them over the years. The ones I didn't bust eventually sprouted leaks around the seams. This led to me paying the extra to try the MSR line...

CZ 453 Varmint .22 Advice for Ring and Rail?

Frustrating! It seems the DPS base is impossible to get in Canada without paying large import fees. Talley's are easy to find, but when I called them to figure out what height rings I would need, I received mixed information. I thought I would need the Rimfire Specialty Rings (22CZRH or...

Rifle Scopes Mount a scope upside down???

You shouldn't be surprised by the firearm ignorance on a show like 'Flashpoint.' The show's purpose is not to entertain gun aficionados, but to contribute to the left's demonization of Canadian firearm owners.

Action material - SS vs CM vs. Ti

What I like about SS is that I don't ever worry. Long day, come in from the rain/snow/mud, put the gun up for the night and forget about it. With a CM I would be wiping it down. I wouldn't chance the wait to the next day.

CZ 453 Varmint .22 Advice for Ring and Rail?

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I need to figure out if my scope will have enough internal elevation, left after zeroing to make it to 200yards without help. Having a picatinny setup is attractive, but more expensive and I'm seeing a lack of 1" ring options. 30mm being the more popular...
