    Can't speak for all of them, but my 5-30 pulls it off fine. It's really nice to have the extra magnification for shooting groups. My XTRII can't use the maximum magnification, it becomes too dark, no eybox, and resolution drops of dramatically. With the Steiner, the eybox gets smaller, but still...

    You're on the right track. Ball heads and leveling heads work well for rifles, but ball heads kinda suck for spotting scope use, and leveling heads aren't much better.

    Finally got it done. 20" Bartlein 5R 7.5 twist heavy palma 6.5 Creedmoor, JP APAC, Steiner T6xi, and Tubb two stage trigger. Mil spec OD green and midnight bronze Cerakote. Now I have to work up some loads.

    I haven't directly compared the glass between the Mk5 and Steiner, but I like the turrets better on the Steiner, and the MSR2 reticle is awesome.

    Rifle Scopes Steiner T6xi vs Meopta Optika6, both 5-30x56.

    Can't speak about the Meopta, but I love my Steiner. Other scopes I've seen had a ton of light fall off and loss of sharpness at the highest magnification, but the T6xi is completely usable at 30x, with just a little fall off. Plus, the more I use the MSR2 reticle, the more I like it.
