    Money isn't that tight, I just bought what rail and rings would fit my Savage at Sportsman's warehouse (this was a few years ago before I really got into shooting). I am between the ARC rings and the Seekins rings.

    Using the Warne Maxima split rail. Torqued to spec with a fat wrench. Definitely not anywhere close to maxed out.

    I've shot a lot of heavy recoiling rifles but that particular one kicks my ass. I used a lead sled when I did the load development on it and even with 25lbs on the sled it was blowing me back.

    Because shooting lightweight 300 Win Mags sucks. My dad has a 1960's model featherweight and it beats the shit out of me on the bench. My Tikka 7 Mag, once I swapped the recoil pad, easy to shoot all day. If I we're going to move up to a 30 Cal, it would be a 300 Norma.

    Totally agree. I sight in my 7 mag at 400 yards with core lokts and just make sure I see hair in the scope.

    Once the short mag barrels roll in, I'm a buyer. I think that with the weight of this thing and the ergonomics, this will be the perfect hunting rifle for hunting the back country.
