    Coffee Thermos

Re: Coffee Thermos I got a Stanley I've been using for a few years now. Only will hold ~9 cups, I think you'll have a hard time finding one that will hold a full 12. Seems pretty rugged- it gets thrown around on equipment daily and still perfectly fine. Keeps coffee hot all day (I also pull...

    tips on scope zeroing

Re: tips on scope zeroing Milk jug being ~8 MOA at 100 yards, Shoot paper at 100 to get a zero, and you should be able to hit your target from 0- 200 yards w/o any adjustments or holds. That surplus ammo should be satisfactory for hitting your rather large target for 200yards and in.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns p226 vs m&p 9mm

Re: p226 vs m&p 9mm Personally, as a Sig fanatic, I'd go with the Sig (NOT a 226 for IWB (Although time to time my full size 220 does go in the IWB) Something more along the lines of a 239 would be better suited- and yes that opinion is biased, I carry a 239/357sig almost every day IWB)...

Difficulty to assemble stripped upper & lower?

Re: Difficulty to assemble stripped upper & lower? For holding down the detent on the front pivot pin, I found a little trick that seems to work very well (with basic tools). All I used was a pair of tweezers, razor blade, and an allen wrench (I want to say 5mm). Hold the sides of the detent...

WTF is up with Federal 45ACP Brass!!!

Re: WTF is up with Federal 45ACP Brass!!! This actually works out really well for me, the small vs large primers in 45. I have another guy at the range that jumps for 45 brass, he's only interested in large primers (he's got a local dealer who buys large primer pocket 45 brass for something...

.308 20" vs. 24" barrel, bull barrel or standard?

Re: .308 20" vs. 24" barrel, bull barrel or standard? Yes, a 175g SMK will outshine a 168g, especially past 600 yards. As for your "military ammo" comment I quoted below, the M118LR, which is what is now used, is loaded with a 175g bullets. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div...

Rifle Scopes Ideas for a 22-250 scope in the $750 range?

Re: Ideas for a 22-250 scope in the $750 range? SWFA 3-9x42 would be something I'd look into for a varmint hunter optic. And you'd want an FFP on a varmint scope or the same reason you'd want an FFP in any scope, so a mil in the retical is a mil no matter what your magnification is. So you...
