3 accuracy nodes: Which one should I choose?

Re: 3 accuracy nodes: Which one should I choose? Assuming 41, 43, and 45 are infact accuracy nodes (hard to tell from only two shots), and that you're staying from 500 and in, I'd stick with 41. Less powder, less pressure, longer case/barrel life. (And an extra few charges per pound). Also, a...

    question about powder

Re: question about powder Weather the bullet is into the powder (A compressed load, as in the bullet is compressing the powder) or there is space isn't really a good judge if the load is going to be hot (I.E. over pressured). Some loads will be safe compressed, while others won't. Hodgdon's...

    question about powder

Re: question about powder Reloading Manuals will give "Max Loads", this is typically the point where pressure signs will start to appear. That is why it is recommended you decrease by 10% and gradually increase up to the Max Load. Once you start to see pressure signs, STOP.

    question about powder

Re: question about powder I feel you answered it for yourself. Remember depending on the bullet you use, how deep it's seated, etc, that "46 grains Varget" COULD be largely over pressured. (With 168g SMK's at 2.800 COAL 46grain Varget is Max Load, and also compressed). Also remember...

    Rifle Scopes Tube Diameter

Re: Tube Diameter Aside from all the "smart ass answers", I.E. Rings required, etc, Typically the larger diameter tube, the more internal adjustment it has in it (NOT ALWAYS THE CASE).

Rifle Scopes Normal Adjustment to Zero

Re: Normal Adjustment to Zero Are you using a canted base? I've found usually around mechanical 0 with a 20MOA base (100 yard zero).

    Dry firing at the range

Re: Dry firing at the range Assuming everything is tight, sounds like your trigger control/shooting form needs to be worked on. When dry firing (or "snapping in")you should not notice any shift in your point of aim.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Kydex is stretching

Re: Kydex is stretching Yes, carefully heat it with a heat gun. You'll notice a small change in the look of the kydex once it's ready to be molded. Pretty sure this is a no brainer- but make sure you take all ammo out of the gun first. A little pressure in the trigger guard will do a lot to...
