    6mm ARC Short stroking

I think anything over rifle length on 6ARC is uncalled for really. What’s your port size? With an 18” R+2”gas barrel it needs to be large whag mags and what buffer weight are you using? I just dealt with this a week ago with a 24” Craddock/Bartlein rifle+2 barrel

    6ARC; Craddock/Bartlein cycling issue

She’s up and running. I tried a C products mag just to eliminate a variable and worked better than the e-lander but still not quite there; opened the gas port up and tried again with the C products mag and it ran like it was supposed to. Brass was ejecting juuust on the forward side of 3oclock...

    6ARC; Craddock/Bartlein cycling issue

Well I drilled it out on the press tonight. Got a nice clean new gas port, patched the barrel, bore is clear. Gonna put it back together and test it at lunch tomorrow thanks for the advice

    6ARC; Craddock/Bartlein cycling issue

That’s fantastic info. I really appreciate it My pin gauge came out even smaller than yours at .080 but I possibly could’ve fit a .085”...only had a .090” next What buffer weight are you using? Ive got a bit that can run it to .093” and the next size up I have is .109”. Wonder if I should...

    .224 Valkyrie

75gr Hornady or 77gr Sierra? either way that seems slow for a 22” barrel and a bolt gun unless you don’t have any other powders, there are better ones for the Valkyrie and the bullets you’re using

    6ARC; Craddock/Bartlein cycling issue

Have a seekins factory build that the 223 Wylde barrel was worn out in. I replaced with a Craddock Precision 24” 1:7 twist rifle +2 gas. The gas port is about .080” as close as I can gauge it. Using E-Lander Grendel magazines, the Seekins carrier and the bolt that came with the barrel from...

223 Wylde Proof CF 3gun Durability

Stupid question but has the barrel been cleaned? Shooting 3Gun, has something been knocked loose after Gun barrel dumps? I’d consider taking the upper entirely apart (removing rail, barrel, brake, optic and mount) and basically rebuilding it, and seeing what happens Have you confirmed your...

    77gr TMK vs SMK question

the BC calc data for the TMK on-paper info more closely resemble real life dope ive gathered with the 77gr SMKs. This is using Hornady and Federal calculators. I don’t have a purchased app calculator that’s possibly more accurate the only question that is answered by running the data is...

    77gr TMK vs SMK question

might be able to get away with the 75 ELDs in my gasser but the 80ELDs are gonna be way too long for mag/case length. I’ve got a fair bit of them for my Valkyrie and they’re running really well in it I’ve got a good bit of 73 &75 ELDs but that’ll be testing for another day Only have time to...

    77gr TMK vs SMK question

I fully intend to verify this hopefully in the next few days on the range but while I was mulling it over I thought I’d see if anyone had a similar experience or input. I was breaking in my 20” stainless 1:7 proof barrel (AR15) and found a Varget load that shot very well with both 77gr SMKs and...

    Mack Bro’s SS Evo

that’s the motivation I need sticking with my Tactical division shooting, it was either try to max out a .223 Rem or just bump up to .308 and I think this, along with a long talk with a very experienced pro shooter has me convinced thanks for the photos

    Mack Bro’s SS Evo

I appreciate the insight and I’m still debating it...haven’t settled yet but I do like the idea of going with a long barreled .223 simply because I can shoot it in the same division I currently shoot in that’s got caliber restrictions and I’ve got a good stash of heavy .223s from the Valkyrie...

    Mack Bro’s SS Evo

I’ve been talking with Jim (22lrmarksman) about this exact build and the Mack Bros action etc. This will be my first foray into precision bolt guns and while I know more money can always be spent, this thread has sold me on it as a starting point. I wanted a solid platform to start on, to learn...

Hunting & Fishing .223 For Deer Hunting

I’ve killed all my deer since 2014 with a .223, all of them SC whitetails I was using Winchester 64gr Power Points but switched to handloaded Barnes 62gr TTSX My furthest range was 150yds (using a 3.5x/TA11 ACOG), neatest was about 60-70yds. Furthest one has gone after impact was less than 20...

    Spare Parts for SHTF

Assuming SHTF, I’m going to live as quietly and off the grid as possible. I will go everywhere armed. I want to be able to rebuild and maintain my weapons, hopefully firing as few rounds as possible. But who knows what will happen? Maybe I drop it while I’ve got the handguard removed and the...

    Spare Parts for SHTF

I’ve had one blow out. Could’ve been from faulty manufacturing or whatever. Unsure i also have two WAR uppers (Innovative Arms) that require proprietary tubes so I keep a spare for each. Its a part that’s cheap now and can be easily replaced...figure it’s easy insurance to have one on hand
