Rifle Scopes Why most of us have MIL scopes but accuracy is expressed in MOA?

That's easy. Bc its a nice round number! An inch(I know its not exactly an inch). If I were to tell you I had a .10 moa gun, I could also say .36mil gun. Most people would have no clue. Now, at distance MILs is just easier for me. I was taught both with emphasis on mils. Just made more sense to...

    Kerstral 5700 or Kilo 2400

I think the Sig has its application. I just don't want to have to lase targets just to get holds. Lase, then look it up. The mil did this with the PLRF25 and Trimble. Back then, I still used my PDA with ATRAG.

    Rifle Scopes *JUST RELEASED* Nightforce NX8 FFP 1-8x24mm 30mm Tube & ATACR F1 1-8x24mm 34mm Tube Models

Gents. I've spent a good bit of time behind one. The most impressive aspect of this optic is using it at short range. When the rifle is mounted, I felt like I was looking through a red dot. That's incredible to achieve and they've nailed it. Glass clarity is excellent stands out over the old...

Rifle Scopes Any sub $500 optics that will pass a box test?

Gunfighter. I've spent a lot of time on two way shooting ranges. The fact of the matter is, you should be able to do both...sometimes even combining them. Running snipe guns, there is no one rifle/setup to solve all problems. I ran a gasser with an H59 and it was for quickly owning 800m and...

Les baer .308 vs Gap 10

Ive done load workups in the GAP-10, JP LRP-07, LMT, Les Baer, and OBR. The JP and GAP-10 were the hammers with the OBR and LB coming in a close second. The difference Im talking about is: GAP 10, JP = .10 to .25 MOA OBR and LB = .30 to .50 MOA LMT = .4 to .7 MOA Workup was done with...

    Rifle Scopes Tremor2 Reticle

Fads? Lol. I've been using the Horus down range for a while now and it's hardly a fad. In training, it's obvious(urban sniper) who does and doesn't have a Horus typically... The timer doesn't lie.

    Recommendations for a duty AR-10

I've used KAC and LaRue OBRs as well as the Scar heavy down Range. The M110 SASS is a less than stellar(SR-25 is much better). The OBRs are great but it will take a while to get them. The SCARS suck ass for what they were designed for but are great for owning 800 yds and in. They're surprisingly...

    What brass to choose

Lapua. Money well spent. Drilled primer pockets (not punched), annealed, hard as hell, in spec, the list goes on.

freezing my reloads for MV testing?

Uh. It will for the powder but the ambient air the bullet is flying in(being warmer) will produce different results man. Cold air is much "heavier" than warm air. Example: When you open your freezer, you could feel the cold air just rush downward towards the floor. Cold air in the atmosphere...
