Night Vision Mounts for aligning NV and Aimpoint

If I was going to get a Aimpoint M3 and mount it on my carbine and use my GI mount for PVS14 behind it what mount would I want to use for the aimpoint to keep them both on the receiver and in line with one another?

    Savage malfunction

Not an intermittent problem. Happens frequently. The firing pin is locked back on cycling the bolt and chambering a round, the accu-trigger accu-release is probably keeping the sear from allowing the firing pin mechanism from moving very far and is doing what it is designed to do, preventing a...

    Savage malfunction

I will check sear engagement. It only happens when a round is chambered. If cycling the bolt with no bullets and dry firing there is never a problem. (I know about dry firing rimfires than you.)

    Savage malfunction

I have a Savage Mark II BTVS Since I got it 5 years ago I have had a problem intermittently. I chamber a fresh round and the trigger will not pull. The accu-trigger mechanism is affected by something. If I open and close the bolt (not a complete cycle, open and close) the trigger will function...

    Gunsmithing 6.5x47 lapua question

I use a regular firing pin in my 6.5X47 L rifles (3 of them) no problems at all, Even with hot loads. The switch is easy as pie. Spin off your barrel and get either a 1 in 8 or a 1 in 8.5 twist. Mine are cut from 16 to 22 inches.(They all shoot awesome.) Chamber with the Dave Kiff reamer. Put it...

Gunsmithing Chambering a barrel through the headstock?

Yes. If someone is chambering a rifle barrel between centers using a steady rest I would assume it is because he lacks a large bore headstock. Before I bought a lathe and got into this for myself I had a gunsmith cut down a barrel and thread and recrown the muzzle. Before this operation it would...

Gunsmithing Delete please - duplicate thread

Re: Problem with HS Precision stock install on Rem700 It is binding. You need to chalk the stock white and very carefully place the action into the stock and torque the screws. Then carefully undo it and see where the major contact points are and use emery cloth to relieve them. Then bed the...

    Maggie’s Straight Outa' Dogtown

Re: Straight Outa' Dogtown The news story was not fake. It really happened. The 300lb man did not die and the person he ran into did not either. Kai, however, is a fake. A short time into the interview when asked why he hit the attacker in the head his pattern of speech changed and he gave a...

    Knee replacement questions

Re: Knee replacement questions I would say go ahead. But, you need to get real serious about your weight. You should not exceed a BMI of 25. If you are going to commit to artificial joints you need to take care of them. The same force that crushes your knees, hips and ankles now is the same...

Range Report 6.5 mm, 123 gr. vs. 139

Re: 6.5 mm, 123 gr. vs. 139 I did this very thing. Compared the 123 to the 139 scenars. Mike will tell you that I only shoot the 139s now. I did this testing in 2008 with a new Surgeon scalpel and used the range at Pascagoula. The real world data and the computer guesses were close. But the...

    Guns: Doctors' next big fight?

Re: Guns: Doctors' next big fight? I talk to my patients about guns all the time. Safe gun handling is always an appropriate safety conversation. I encourage them to get a permit and always carry concealed. Practice, get instruction, always wear ear and eye protection. Those are the things I...

    WTF Florida?

Re: WTF Florida? That is why I love college football. It is all about who shows up prepared dedicated and hungry to win. I remember a certain Hurricane team that was coming off a great season, undefeated, and had multiple championships (4 in 9 years I think)and went to New Orleans and talked...
