    New Sig CROSS

If the bolt is as overbuilt as they say it is, it'll be fun to see what can be achieved with handloaded 6.5CM out of that 18" barrel. ETA: https://www.recoilweb.com/sig-sauer-cross-rifle-sig-returns-to-the-bolt-action-market-155231.html

    Rifle Scopes Marines New ACOG/RCO

I wonder why they're not going to the TA11-SDOs that are used fleetwide on the HK M27s. Much better eye relief than the TA31s with pretty much the same reticle.

6.5 Creedmor $300 barrel budget, What would you buy?

Faxon 6.5 Creedmoor barrels have a very shallow feedcone and may not feed VLD rounds. I had to have a gunsmith modify mine to work.

Help me find an AR10 receiver set

Give American Defense Manufacturing a call and see if they still sell their UIC-10 receiver sets. Totally ambi, super easy to use right hand bolt catch/release, slant cut.

Ashbury Precision Ordnance Sniper's Hide Edition Rifle

I should clarify that "good enough" to me means the ability to hit targets under a variety of conditions on the clock at distance. I know for a fact that I'm the weak link the chain, so a rifle's mechanical ability to shoot bugholes at 100 yards means less to me than a bunch of other factors.

Ashbury Precision Ordnance Sniper's Hide Edition Rifle

Sounds like you're gauging a given rifle as a system for maximum mechanical accuracy, whereas to me the APO rifle is an attempt to give precision shooters good practical accuracy, a ton of adjustments to "fit the rifle to the shooter, not the other way around" to paraphrase Frank, and an easy...

Rifle Scopes a note on Tangent Theta and pricing

Frankly I'd rather see an extended Youtube video review or a written review on SH than try to get any info from the counter person at Cabela's or your random local gun store. Even shouldering a blue gun with an optic mounted inside an artificially lit store won't tell you a whole lot, other than...

Rifle Scopes a note on Tangent Theta and pricing

Capitalism? LOL. There is no capitalism because everything distorts the free market: inaccurate flow of information, monopoly pricing power, access to capital, and on and on. Take MAP for example as it applies to capitalism. If you remove MAP, what happens when an Amazon comes into your market...

Rifle Scopes Who has a better warranty NK vs Kahles

I've owned 3 NF scopes over the years and had to send 2 in for repairs to the zero stops. There is no brand of scopes that is perfectly reliable, so warranty and customer service are a big deal.

Rifle Scopes Compact Gas Gun Optic 1500 or less

Yep, and zero cant is not an issue for an optic with 30 mils of elevation travel... Well, at least for 99.9% of us shooters.

    Cantilever Mounts

Daniel Defense is releasing a 30mm cantilever mount @ $149 MAP. Seems like a good choice based on DD’s reputation.

    Rifle Scopes EOtech Vudu 5-25

There is a pretty big thread on the Hide already about this scope. MD3 pics here: http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/new-5-25x50-vudu.6865386/page-4#post-6880321

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

A 6.5CM 20" option would be exactly the version I'd order. I hope Christensen decides to do this!

    Christensen Modern Precision Rifle

I think the handguard looks fine... And I like how it is not vented on top; that should help keep mirage under control. Very interesting package overall, at a heck of a price point.

Effects/Benifits of training with steel case ammo (6.5 Grendel)

There's a large difference between handloading fired cases and just replacing bullets... No case prep, no powder, no primer required; just to pull and swap bullets. I'd guess I could do 500 rounds of steel cased - pull factory bullets using bullet puller die on my Hornady single stage press...
