    Rifle Scopes New Mil-C NF on the way!!

    I think I remember someone in Palmetto's post saying that NF was going to offer a reticle swap in the near future for guys who have the MIL-R. The price was something like $600 which is a better deal to me than selling your current scope at a loss, and then purchasing a new one.

    The Mil-R was the only thing keeping me from owning an ATACR over my Vortex. When I saw Palmetto's post about this new NF reticle I sold my AMG as quick as I could. I have shot the new Mil-C twice now.. just out to 830yds and I am in love!

    I forgot when I shot 300 blackout suppressed to switch the LR over to "handgun" mode because I was shooting subsonics. If that's the case - that'll do it.

    How tight were your rings? Over tightening rings can cause tracking issues that seem erratic. I think Vortex only recommends something like 15-18 inch pounds for rings.

    The 5700 is set up for firmware updates that are fairly easy to do with the Link feature. They are still working all the kinks out of the 5700, personally I don't seen anything coming out soon that would phase out the 5700.

    If you're thinking about the trade up - you'd likely get a lot more money for selling a new V3 here than trading up. I was was worried about the Gen 2 coming out right after I got mine and the general consensus was that they would be updating the firmware rather than hardware for quite some time.

    I had to save an extra month for Link, and I'm glad I did. I've never once wished I saved the money.
