    anyone running an AAC suppressor on their 22" 308 with long forend? AAC reccomends re-threading the barrel to 5/8-24 to eliminate baffle strikes. I just do not want to re-thread only to find out that the mount/suppressor is too close to the rail.

    If anyone here has an SRS with the quad rail and would like to trade for the new A1 rail, shoot me a PM. I have an A1 on order and would rather have a quad rail. DTA told me they couldn't put the older rail on my A1 for some reason.

    My P-308 recon, like many others have complained, did not run out of the box. It seemed every three rounds at best would get a case stuck in the chamber. I was not shooting junk ammo BTW. It was not an extraction problem because the BCG and CH would get stuck as well due to the extractor...

    I've experimented with different barrel lengths all Krieger 1/10 twist and 25" is money. I personally would not go less than 24" mostly due to the blast. If maneuverability is your goal, I would look at lighter contours not shorter barrels.

    I like my P308 16" but it did not run right out of the box. A $2k+ rifle should run right off the get go.

    Spend some coin on a decent mount. ADM makes great mounts that are not too expensive.

    Sr-25 or lmt ?

    I have no experience shooting the KAC but it is crazy light. If you are only going to have one, this is prolly the way to go. I went with the LMT and am plenty satisfied though. I later bought a POF P-308 and both rifles cost the same as one KAC. The P-308 is pretty accurate and much lighter...
