    Agreed, definitely the garbage ammo. Another thing you need to do it clean the chamber with a dry shotgun bore mop or something similar. You don't want any oil/cleaner residue in the chamber.

    When I was 13 years old I shot a raghorn elk at 30 yards NINE TIMES, 30-06 using Remington Core-Lokt. All nine were to the vitals, three of them were to the neck. Remington bullets is one of the main reasons that I got into reloading later in life.

    @clcustom1911 It is almost painful to disassemble the OWL. You have to push and turn so hard that if you have any oil/moisture on your hands you're screwed. That thing is not coming off on accident.

    @8pointer We had 3 guys on the rifle and put maybe 15 on a rock at 1342 yards. There were at least 10 in a 6" group. Not vertical dispersion, only wind errors. I was amazed with how good that factory ammo shot. It was a RPR with a Criterion barrel.

    I suppose you could do 1/1000 with Trail Boss. A 5.5 grain charge takes way longer to weigh than 93 grains of N570.
