Sir, do you have any guns in your butthole? We need to know before the doctor sticks his hand in there.

Why no love for the Remington 700 Long Range?

Their flagships were the 700 and the 870. Half of new 870s need the breech bolt assembly filed down just to get a spent shell to extract. While your at it might as well replace the extractor that will definitely break. The 700s issues have been outlined well here. The 597 22wmr was a disaster...

Why no love for the Remington 700 Long Range?

Yes, I have been dumped by Big Green before and I'm salty AF about it. Odds are a Rem rifle will be a POS. Would you still take that girl home from the dance if there was a 80% chance she had a dick?

LPVO w/ offset red dot, why?

Once could argue that once you enter the 12x + range that the L in LPVO might no longer apply.

Why no love for the Remington 700 Long Range?

Yeah, WTH??? He said the R word (not cool), got us all stirred up and then bounced. I'm guessing he bought the LR (against our sound advice) and has probably been at the range trying to figure out why he can only get 2.5" groups. "Maybe I'm just not steady enough, I need a lead sled", "I guess...

LPVO w/ offset red dot, why?

Yes, both eyes wide open. I shoot almost everything that way except ELR which I do 1 1/2 eyes open.

LPVO w/ offset red dot, why?

My experience is FOV is much better with a NF 1-8 than with a Trijicon MRO or Aimpoint. I much prefer the NF 1-8 as a red dot than any other red dots I have run including RMRs. I don't understand the offset dot other than have one optic at 1x and the other at 8x or whatever and that doesn't make...

    Who is feeling frisky?

A guy I work with has done this a bunch. He had to tweak the recipe to get the right fps on his loads but once he dialed it in it has worked 100%. When shooting them you would never know they were homemade other than they have a slight funny smell. He has only used them with pistols and will...

    Let's show some respect...for 6.5 Creedmoor shooters

6.5 is about the perfect size for a deer (and another critter). A lot of deer hunters in this country. I finally screwed my PRC together (after sitting in boxes in the corner for 6 months) and did load development. The seating test was a challenge, 7 out of 8 groups were under .5 moa, the big...

    Let's show some respect...for 6.5 Creedmoor shooters

We never said 6.5 Creeed was a POS cartridge, we said it was a gay cartridge.

What's denting these cases? Are they still good to go?

This is the only way to use Hornady One Shot Lube. Put them in a gallon bag, spay a little, shake them up, spray some more and shake them up. Easiest way to lube brass by far. For ELR I do use sizing wax but everything else gets this treatment.

Need help choosing a complete rifle

The first step in purchasing a new rifle is getting brass. I've talked to 2 random strangers in town recently that have a new rifle and can't shoot it because there are no factory 6.5 PRC bullets available, and the other guy couldn't find any PRC brass to reload.

What's denting these cases? Are they still good to go?

Same, I have dented .223 cases to where they looked identical to the picture above.

Why no love for the Remington 700 Long Range?

Everyone needs to own a borescope, a $60 Teslong will save you money in the long run. Run a scope down the barrels of Remington 700s built 40 years ago then run it into some from the 2000s, you will be amazed. It's almost like Remington has made it a goal of theirs to see how many gouges and...

    Looking Into 300 Norma Mag

My 300 NMI comes in around 10.5-11#. That 8# rifle you speak of will get a bipod that's almost a pound, a scope that's 1.5-2# and it is no longer lighter weight. IMO an 11# rifle is perfect for long range shooting and being just light enough to carry for hunting. Put a big slab style muzzle...

What's denting these cases? Are they still good to go?

300 Blackout doesn't really have a shoulder but usually you keep lube away from the shoulder of a cartridge. That area gets pushed back quite a bit during resizing and the lube gets trapped in between the die and the shoulder. The dents will almost always be on the shoulder of the brass or just...

What's denting these cases? Are they still good to go?

Agree with Dan. I've done it a few times including on some 223s last week. Clean your die out, more than likely problem will be solved.
