    Surefire Mags?

No feed issues, occasionally will fail to lock the bolt back on the last round. Good mag IMO, but way too pricey to justify getting more than one right now.

What are your three favorite powders for the .308 Winchester with 168/175 grain bullets?

So far, Varget and R-15. I need to get out to the range and test some 178 AMAX w/ PP2000MR to see if it becomes my third powder.

    What Not to Do.

Doesn't hurt to double check that all your ready-to-load cases in a bucket actually have a primer. Helps to avoid throwing a charge and having all your powder leak out all over the press and work bench. (Did this the other day.)

Social experiment; my wife's stupid fucking shoes

Gotta control the behavior. Tell her straight up that every pair of shoes left out get thrown in a burn barrel. See how long it takes her to realize you are serious.

How often should I change my tumbler media?

I have used the same batch of corncob for ~2 years now. Still keeps chugging along. Every now and then I'll add some media renewing shit and some polishing shit. So far so good.

    Gunsmithing Problems w/ custom rifle

Well damn. I would definitely be raising some hell over that kind of shoddy work and the fact that the smith tried to cover it up rather than admit his mistake.

    varget

Glad I placed a large order with Wideners just before the Newtown shooting. Sitting pretty on all the hard to find powders I need except for R-15. I have literally only seen 1lb of it in the year and a half since Newtown, and I jumped on it like a duck on a junebug.

Can't beat free. This way you can get into reloading cheap, and as you gain experience you can add the pieces/upgrades in a knowledgeable fashion.

    Primer pocket cleaning

I clean and uniform the primer pockets, but I often find myself wondering why I spend the extra seconds per case to do so. I figure since I tumble in corncob it is worth my while to clean the pocket since the corncob doesn't clean them out during tumbling. But, I may just be overthinking this...

    Tree cutting accident

Of all the dumbshit ways to hook up to a tree, that has to rank right behind resting a ladder on a branch and cutting said branch on the tree side of the ladder.
