I would think if you mixed a bunch of 1# cans into one big jug it would make you a custom batch of powder and you wouldn't have to worry about small differences between lots like you would if you loaded from the individual cans.
I have had access to a 1000y range once. Was shooting a 24" .308 R700 using FGMM 175gr. Wind was so crazy out past 800y it was hard to dial corrections and I couldn't ever get consecutive hits. Was still a lot of fun.
So far 8208 is all I have used for 6.5G. 18.5" Satern barrel for reference. Haven't fully developed my load yet but early results show very good accuracy.
I would suggest the SA Range Officer, but you can get it much cheaper than $899. Only thing I don't like is the adjustable rear sight, but other than that it is a great 1911.
