    243 win - 6.5 creed mag choice

    AICS mags are easier to tune than PMAGS. I have 2 PMAGS that will run in my rifle but it took a lot of file work to get them there. AICS you can just polish and bend the feed lips. I have the MPA tool for the feed lips and like it. Well worth what I paid for it.

    I had the same thought and then I asked myself if I really wanted to haul a pair of channel lock pliers with me in my bag. I decided it was worth $40 not to carry a big pair of pliers.

    The sweet spot on mine is 2-3" to the side and about 6" back. I am sure it varies based on the can you are using.

    Barrel Cleaning Recommendations

    My experience with factory Savage barrels is that you don't want to clean them any more often than they force you to. My Savage 12 in 308 shot much better dirty and absolutely took a full 20 rounds to settle in after a full cleaning. I cleaned that barrel maybe every 300-400 rounds tops.
