    Have you confirmed the length of the case after you neck it down? I had this issue necking down 257 Bob cases for my 6mm Rem. I had to shave a little brass off.

    I was shooting Hornady and Sierra RN 160's at mild velocity from a sporting rifle length barrel. I don't see the Matrix 160's offering much in a < '06 case. With the hotter loads posted I wonder about case life and trimming frequency. The case has candlestick taper.

    If you're ever inclined my CZ 550 American shot the 160's quite well with 4064 and the deer I poked looked like they'd been run through with a pool cue. 120 TSX's over H414 worked quite well on deer as well.

    You need to get out and shoot more. You might get lucky. Awesome shooting spot you have there Doc! I bet the wind can be a bear to deal with from the ridges further back.

    I'm going to load ammo for my friends SCAR. Will Redding 308 dies size the brass fired in the SCAR enough or do I need to use small base dies? I have no experience with the SCAR but 14 years with loading 308. Thanks

    New 6.5 150 Gr. Bullet

    Has anyone actually shot these 160's? I should be able to push these in the 2950-3000 fps range and they appear to be slipperier than the 142's I've been shooting. If that g1 is accurate it'd still be running 1300+ where I shoot to 1 mile.
