Hunting & Fishing Sierra Pro Hunter 110/115gr 6.8 SPC ammo for hogs?

Re: Sierra Pro Hunter 110/115gr 6.8 SPC ammo for hogs? I've shot several hogs with the Pro Hunters with good results. I now use the 110 Accubonds, seem to be performing better on shots that are taken at less than optimal angles.

    tikka stock

Re: tikka stock I'd like to find a take off Tikka Tactical stock and see if it could be fitted to my left handed T3 .308. I like the factory offering, just can't get a left handed version in the US. Grrrrrr

Hunting & Fishing .260 deer hunting bullet

Re: .260 deer hunting bullet 130 Accubond gets my vote. I've used it iin my 6.5x55 and 6.5x284 on white tail and mule deer with great results. I may switch to the 140s for my 6.5x284 just to give it a try.

Hunting & Fishing New hunting rifle finished

Re: New hunting rifle finished Great looking rifle in a caliber that's about perfect for pronghorn. Being a left handed shooter, I'm very envious. I do my pronghorn shooting with a 6.5x284. I really like the caliber, but the 6.4x47L is one I'm luisting after. I'm off to New Mexico for a...

Hunting & Fishing help with rifle selection T/C or Tikka

Re: help with rifle selection T/C or Tikka I just put together a T3 stainless lightweight in .308 for myself. This thing REALLY shoots. I did have the barrel cut down to 20", metal Cerakoted, added the Aussie bolt handle and metal bolt shroud and painted the stock. It has also been bedded...

Hunting & Fishing Hunting with a heavy ass rifle

Re: Hunting with a heavy ass rifle Use it and later when you can afford something else to hunt with you'll appreciate it even more! Even my "light" hunting rifles are between 8.5 and 11 pounds. Easier to take 5 pounds off my rear end by working out than shave a small amount of weight from a...

Hunting & Fishing Big 5 hunting?

Re: Big 5 hunting? Those with enough cash can do the same on a elk hunt. I've seen their pictures and heard their stories. Not for me. I also hunt the mountains, horses or on foot. That's my choice. Nothing more pure about mountain hunting than any other kind, unless the hunter choses to...

Re: Big 5 hunting? Normally I don't feed troll like comments, but..... And it sounds like you've done it a lot from the tone of your comment. If that's the hunt you want, it can be done that way. On the other hand, hunters in Africa spot and stalk game in an environment where you are not...
