    PRS Talk Barrel Question

I got a Hawk Hill 6 CM barrel earlier this year for an Big Horn Origin action. Hawk Hill did all the cutting on the barrel and for the price I paid it has been an absolute winner. I will be ordering another one this summer.

PRS Talk Are You Afraid? To compete.

If you want to find a reason not to go compete you will, just as you will find a reason to go compete. Yes it requires some driving and time off work and money and time and everything else that goes into something worthwhile but once I started going I just wanted to keep going. Yes there are...

    PRS Regional vs Pro series

I just registered for the regional series cause that is where I plan on shooting 90% of my matches, maybe I will try the pro series next year.

Workouts for 30+ men and woman

Don't be afraid to lift heavy, I hurt my body more at 25 than I did at 35 by lifting incorrectly. I'm 50 and still put up heavy weights but max reps of 5 and min of 3, no need for max out singles anymore. Lots of core exercises, I devote 1 day a week to core strength weight training and 1...

Gunsmithing Bighorn TL3 Stiff Bolt Close

Yeah Chad really knows his stuff, maybe why he puts out such high quality products. Not to discourage anybody from doing the work themselves but for me it is worth having a professional fix problems like this, they get done right.

PRS Talk 6 CM build, not sure about barrel length?

I was looking at the 107SMK's, I have had great success with Berger bullets in the past that way I was starting there first but the 107's would definitely be my next move.

    PRS Talk Chassis or Stock?

I was a stock guy until I got a chassis and realized I was wrong. I got a XLR JV Envy Heavy earlier this year and it was the best money I have spent improving my shooting. The way I can adjust it to fit me has improved my shooting tremendously. Try one out and see what works best for you...

PRS Talk 6 CM build, not sure about barrel length?

Thank you everyone for your input. I ended up going with a Bighorn Origin with a Hawk Hill Heavy Varmint barrel, 26" 1:7.5 twist. I plan on trying out the Berger 105's first and see how it goes from there.

Proof Competition Contour MPA fit and weight

I think 25lbs is a little heavy, I know many people would disagree but I like it around 20 - 21. Heavy enough to be stable but not so much on that it is a hindrance with odd or unstable positions.

Vortex Product - 50% off Cert

Binos are the way to go for PRS matches. Easy to carry, large FOV and really no eye fatigue.

    Binocular recommendation

If you are willing to bump your price some I think you will find a big difference between $500 binos and $1000 binos. I know that is double but I would suggest saving up more and going with the Meopta Meostar, you can get them for around $800 - $900 and they are great. I have used the 10 x 42...

    185 Juggernauts in 1:12 AI 308

I have a 1:11.25 twist and the 185 Juggernauts shoot great for me at that distance. Give them a try, that the only real way to find out.

8x42 vs 10x42 Binos for Hunting

I am using 10x42 Meopta Meostar I got from Doug at Camera Land. If you are not married to a particular brand I would suggest taking a look at these. I can't tell a difference between these and the SLC's at the same magnification.

PRS Talk 6 CM build, not sure about barrel length?

I contacted Federal and they told me they test with a 1:7.5 with both the 105 Berger and the 107 Sierra bullets.

What would you do? Upgrade LRF or get a Magnetospeed

I think the V3 is a valuable piece of equipment and I take it with me everywhere I shoot, including PRS matches. Knowing what my MV is at different temperatures and altitudes helps me get the most accurate information out of my Kestrel.

Rifle Scopes $500 Entry Level Scope

Athlon is a great option in that price range. Call Doug at camera land, great place to do business.
