    Insurance on long gun ship

It's been a good while since I've had to use it, but this was always my choice, for the same reasons given. If it goes missing, the last guy who signed for it is supposedly accountable for it. I will mention that I have observed the service of USPS in general has gone down noticeably since I've...

    Accuracy International Picture Thread

The 12 yr (black) is one of my all-time favorites. I don't really think much of the Special Reserve (green). I have not had a chance to try any of the others. We almost never see any of them here locally, except rarely on the secondary market. 270 for the blue, and 370 for the black. No thanks.

No, I saw it, but the question at hand was black, or blue?

Keen eye, and he’s got both 12/black, and Full Proof/blue!

Micron Precision Bushing Sizer Not Compatible With Zero Press?

Well, the FAQ section wasn't lying. After asking here about it, then calling and actually talking to someone at Bullet Central who didn't seem to have a clue as to what I was asking about (implying the issue never existed), I ordered the Micron die and....no way is it going to screw into the...

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

That’s what I meant when I asked if your question was sarcasm. I thought possibly it was actually a cheeky statement disguised as a question. I figured as long as you’ve been here you knew of them. I don’t know, but it does seem that most people who post here about them are shooting magnum/ELR...

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

It's just a short video from Alex Wheeler who explains it far better than I could, but it's a sharp click that occurs at the top of your bolt lift where the action's primary extraction occurs and meets resistance due to the base of the fired case being too tight in the chamber. They can be mild...

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

    Sarcasm? Or genuine question?

Is the new "custom" dies worth the extra money?

A good rifle/barrel will shoot 1/2 MOA with good factory ammo, so I'd say no - the dies won't make much difference in your group size. That said, I use some premium dies (Area419 M-series, Micron) where available for my cartridges, but I got along with Reddings for years. I recently ran into...

Stupid question about recoil: 1 cartridge vs another

This is the age-old formula I’ve always been told is correct. I’ve never studied it to prove it right or wrong, but have read a few articles by “knowledgeable” people who have, and their conclusions were that it is correct, ie change anything in the formula, but still end up with the same...

Unitarian was my guess as well, first thing that came to mind. But there are some other "Christian" ones that I wouldn't be too surprised by, just less likely.

If a sinner can't find redemption and salvation in a church, where else are they supposed to find it? You are astute in your observation that the hairdresser was apparently there to make an honest attempt to find it, whereas the events in the video show an evil attempt to corrupt it and take it...

This is exactly what I was going to post. Exactly WHAT church is this?? It makes a big difference, because there are some real kook, non-Christian churches out there that are all-in on this crap.

Testing loads - Am I doing it wrong?

That’s a better answer than mine, and actually what I do as well. I load for only 3 cartridges. In each case I just picked a Berger and ran it: 300PRC (230gr), 300 Norma (245gr), and 338 Norma (300gr). My comment above about differences in impact from a barrel previously fouled with a different...
