    You might be forced into spending close $300 for a long case like that . Plano I think makes a hard case for shotguns with long barrels 28" ,30" but they are cheap $30.00 cases. If you pack it right it should be okay.

    I'm curious also , it looks like you might not have to do any new load development for it with 175's . It's nice to hit the mark on a load when you weren't even loading for that rifle.

    If it was me I would tell him to take some more detailed pics of it . Bolt face , muzzle end pic , bottom pic etc.. That way you know at least he has it.

    It's just a Blackhawk I had in lying around . I was only going to use it temporary until I got around to ordering something else. But the damn thing just works and locks up tight as shit. So I just left it on.

    That is quality control issue with the scope , it's not typical of Vortex scopes. As has been suggested you can return it and up grade to a Razor 5-20 and you can get credit on your return.
