+1 On the T/C
I like my Ruger but it gets absolutely filthy.
The Buckmark gets more use as the open nature of the bolt stays much cleaner.
A shell deflector keeps some of the mess off your optic.
The barrel can be sent off for threading without hassle as it's not the actual...
I do fine with a red dot on a Buckmark where most of the weight is centered over and just forward of the grip.
With the TC, all the weight is forward of the grip.
+1 on using a micrometer. Best bet for a critical measurement.
.290 or .291 have worked for me reloading .260 & 6.5x55
I've used the Redding steel bushings in a pinch. They're a little less.
Also have a few of the RCBS bushings. Even less money.
That being said, the TiN bushings are...
Because some are fine and some are crushed, and you didnt have issues prior to, I'm guessing inconsistent annealing.
Revisit your annealing technique.

I've never done the extreme crushing you show with a properly set up seating...
I don't do to well with a red dot past 35 yds or so.
A 10" with a pistol scope is about the limit for a hand hold and then only at short range.
I haven't tried a rifle scope with taco hold. Probably should some time.
I started with just a few. Now they seem to multiply.

I'll occasionally shoot .40 in a 10mm T/C Contender barrel. The extractor holds the case just fine but then they're being hand fed, one at a time.
Will also shoot them in a S&W 610 using moon clips, no problems.
Not sure how well it would work feeding in a semi auto.

Transition between end of chamber and start of rifling. Rifling may also be cut away slightly.
