    Bonanza .308 benchrest die issues

Go guage closes, no problem. No go, a few ° worth of bolt engagement using light, two finger pressure. I've now tried reloads from two other shooters, chambered fine. No one I shoot with has any factory loaded cartridges to try.

    Bonanza .308 benchrest die issues

I got these dies many years ago 'cause they looked unused, were ridiculously cheap, and I figured one day I might own a .308. Well, finally got a .308. Cases sized with these dies are able to be chambered but not easily. There is a bright scuff mark on the case head left by the closing bolt...

    Suppressors 510 Whisper dies?

I've got an older .500 Whisper. The dies came from RCBS. Don't know if they ever made .510 dies. I would like to see your stick when the can comes in...

    Annealing in the oven?

I would think the time spent properly annealing the few cases you use would be well worth the peace of mind you'd get every time you pulled that trigger. You might accept "annealing the entire case, head and all", your cases may not, when put under pressure. I've used .45 Colt cases in my...

Best single shot or bolt action 22lr pistols ?

By Anne, are you referring to the Anschutz Exemplar 22 LR pistol? The Crickett with iron sights is about 2lbs 8oz. My T/C with 10" barrel, mounts, rings and scope is 3lbs 14oz. I could weigh it with irons later if you'd like a better comparison. I'm quite familiar with the Contender in .22lr...

    Best savage .223 bolt action?

That's 3/4 min as in MOA, not 3/4" at 300yds. Just to be clear :-)

    Best savage .223 bolt action?

I've got a Savage 12 LRPV, Left Port in .223. I like it a lot. Single shot but left port option helps keep things moving along. 1/9" twist was the only option when I got it. 69gr stabilizes very well. New ones may be slightly lighter as the barrels are now fluted and may be a slightly...

What kind of problems can I have with an HS Precision stock?

No problems with the two I have. I don't really stress them tho. Mostly paper punching off the bench.

    7mm-08 vs .260

I've a 12LRP in .260. It's close to 14 lbs with a scope an no other accessories. It's a pleasure to shoot but I'd hate to hump it through the woods. Your wife might prefer something lighter too. Also, it came with an HS Precision varminter stock. Seems like I've heard they now come with...

    lightweight compact backpack/mountain/truck gun help

Not really what your looking for. Short, compact. Could be trimmed a little as the mount and rings are steel. Also a lighter forend could be used. Possibly skeletonize the stock. Go to something other than a varment contour barrel. In the caliber of your choice. I had a .338 Win Mag...

    Savage- 12LRP, or build?

I've got a Savage 12 LRPV Right bolt, Left Port in .223. I like it a lot. Single shot but left port option helps keep things moving along. 1/9" twist was the only option when I got it. 69gr stabilizes very well. New ones may be slightly lighter as the barrels are now fluted and may be a...

    300 Blackout ?

I've 1/7", 1/7.5", 1/8" and a 1/10" barrels. I see no advantage to the slow (relatively) twist barrels.
