Rifle Scopes Bushnell 3200 10x40 tactical...good for the money?

Mine is a 1" tube. It's held up well. Mounted on a T/C Encore barrel in .30-06. The package is very light so it is subjected to some stout recoil. It's a good bare bones scope for $200 or less.

Rifle Scopes The importance of correct leveled scope.....or not...?

I like to check using a vertical line drawn an the back of some old gift wrapping paper. Put up the paper, draw the line using a carpenters level, stick an aiming dot at the bottom of the line. Shoot, raise elevation and repeat.

Hunting & Fishing Black powder gun for deer hunting

Savage ML II. Comes with iron sights and is drilled and tapped for mounts. Don't know if it'd be legal where you are. It's designed for, and shoots very well using, smokeless powder, saboted bullets and 209 shotshell primers. You can use black power or substitutes but I believe your locked...

    Anyone here cast lead?

While I have molds for every caliber I own I'm only casting for the .50 caliber stuff. Those bullets can get expensive.

Suppressors How often to clean sparrow ss?

Take it apart and scrape the clam shells after each use. I'll also give the threads a quick brush with a brass brush. When build up starts getting in the way of reassembly, bead blast. Clam shell scraper...Cut down .50BMG case.

Any reason for 300BLK if I can't SBR or suppress it?

If you were a handgun hunter and already set up to reload Whisper then it would be a short and easy step to a Blackout upper for your AR.

Handloading for a new world order...

One of my shooting buddies reloads steel cased boxer primed .223 with no issues. Treats it the same as brass as far as I know. He's been doing it for a while now.

Sav 12 LRP DBM Long Range Precision 6.5?

I have one and I've been very pleased. Also a LRPV in .223. They are good, right out of the box. The HS Precision varminter is a very good stock. I added a cheek rest to the LRPV and may to the LRP as well. The target accu trigger is claimed to go down to 6oz but I've not gone less than...

looking for a 300 whisper single shot rifle

The Blackouts chamber is designed with a longer throat. It enables lighter bullets to be loaded longer and with that, a little more room in the case for powder. Helps the folks that want to hunt with it. The cases are virtually the same. You may find a used Whisper SSK barrel for the...

Is going to .50bmg worth it?

For me, it's mostly a novelty but one that has not worn off. I really wanted a Boys but could never find one I could afford. Eventually, i found a Croatian single shot in .50BMG. It satisfied my requirement of being an actual military item, and the price was reasonable. I rarely get a chance...

Norma 260 Brass Problem - Need Help

They are all defective. You should send them to me for examination and proper disposal. Personally, while it may be aggregating, unless they show some other qualities that would make them unsuitable for use, I'd trim to a uniform length and go.

Sidearms & Scatterguns any of you guys cast bullets?

I rarely cast anymore, except for the .50 Alaskan and .510 Whisper. Those big bullets are not cheep so it makes it worth the time. I've got molds in every handgun and rifle caliber I own tho. And with over 1000lbs of Linotype, I'm good to go whatever might happen.
