Rifle Scopes Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR

Re: Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR I haven't seen anyone 1:1 compare the PST to the SS where the SS wasn't a clear winner, but I'll admit the PST does have a lot of features I'd like. Zero stop, Illum, mil/mil, etc. I'll check it out more. Maybe I'll phrase the next question as...

Rifle Scopes Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR

Re: Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR Yea, if it were a specific gun to have this scope forever, I might consider BDC. My purpose for this gun is to learn long range and learn precision semi-auto. The platform is less important to me than the scope, but I still have a budget. The idea...

Rifle Scopes Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR

Re: Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR Well that's where I'm looking at 6x and thinking it's just not going to work. I'd be all over an SS 1-6 for this gun, but it's just not enough top end. A 2-10 would be perfect, but I'm trying to stay mil/mil which means currently no nightforce...

Rifle Scopes Need a 600y recommendation for a 556 SPR

Ill keep this short. I need a scope for a 16" recce, I want to stay under 1k, and my goal is to be able to hit 20" steel reliably at 600-800y knowing the wind will be a large factor. The only major factors I want in a scope are exposed turrets, mildot gen2+ (.5 mil markings, etc), a good value...

Satern Mfg AR Barrels any good?

Re: Satern Mfg AR Barrels any good? I just got my car insurance bill in so it looks like I'm going to pass on this, but I'll know what I'm looking at next time at least.

Satern Mfg AR Barrels any good?

Re: Satern Mfg AR Barrels any good? Ok so Satern is good to go. I'll kick this around. The price seems great and I've never had bad luck the twice I have bought slightly used barrels. The included brake is definitely a bonus... Having a short midlength Recce would be the shit. Very...

    How is Wylde pronounced?

Re: How is Wylde pronounced? Ok, so that's one actual vote for "wild". Also, it was explained to me as a blend between 556 NATO and 223 Rem. Not as tight as 223, but tighter than NATO to push a little more accuracy out of the 556 rounds. Is this correct?

    How is Wylde pronounced?

I was looking at an ad for a wylde chambered barrel, and realized that I have in the past pronounced it both Will-dee or WILD

Satern Mfg AR Barrels any good?

So, I was over on barfcom's EE and saw a "Satern" barrel come up that I might be interested in. I've never heard of them though. The specs look great, it's apparently 5R, cut rifled, 1:8, stainless, Wylde chambered, but I'm unsure if this barrel is closer to a DPMS or a Noveske that the ad kind...

Is the AX Chassis for 700 SA cut out at magwell?

Re: Is the AX Chassis for 700 SA cut out at magwell? Cool, thanks. It's actually sort of tough finding photos of them on the left side. As an aside note, how do you guys like yours? It seems to me to be about the same weight as the AICS but more features and better ergos.

Is the AX Chassis for 700 SA cut out at magwell?

I've seen the magazine cut out on the AX chassis so the magazine can be put in at an angle, but can't for the life of me determine if that's in the short action, long action, or just the AX rifle. Left side, right side? Anyone?

Suppressors Looking for someone with a Shark or Tigershark can

Does anyone have either of these titanium cans rated in 308 and 300 win mag respectively? I'm trying to find out the wall thickness of the tubing to see if they're what I consider strong enough for their applications. If anyone has a second and a caliper I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
