    I'd only recommend any WSM if your action is custom short/intermediate or long. I got to run out a couple short mags in 700 actions and hated how every single one of them fed. So, 7RM or 300wm would be my advice

    Yea, the Covert would be hard to beat for real world use. If I was looking at a "bug out" rifle that needed to pack down, and the action I chose did not have a quick attach barrel... I'd either look at a bolt gun with a pinned 14-14.5" barrel and suppressor mount, or more likely probably a SCAR...

    Leupold RX1000

    Does anyone use the drop call built into the range finder? I'm looking at a 1000 and a 1000 with the drop calc, I doubt I'd use it other than it does seem very fast for a reading even if not as accurate as software or dope.

    I had a Timney on my AR that I HATED so very much, so I. A little biased against the name. But on a 700 I bet it's just fine. As it were I'm a big Dan of 2-stage triggers now.

    Must disagree. Broke 2 Votrex SPARCs. They are NOT a replacement for an aimpoint micro. Not at all.

    I did that, he won't have them for sale for 3-5 weeks, and even then won't be cheap but I can deal with that if it's the "right" part for me.
