Y'all have some bad luck then, the 77 OTMs are consistent to 517y for me. It is I alone to blame for a miss. In November my range is moving and I should have access to 1400y, though I'm not confident in a 12.5" 5.56 getting that far without a good spotter. Will test as far as I can.

Yeah my form 1 was approved in 2 days. Though my first trust SBR was approved in less than a week.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Handguns...show 'em

Handled a PDP a few days ago and was impressed with it. Sometimes I wish I wasn't so "bought in" to Glocks.

Weird, the 77 OTM I shoot is consistently sub 17 SD. Thursday my data from a new 12.5" Blackstone Arms midlength barrel was AV: 2634 / ES: 49 / SD: 16.1. Now a previous test with their 75 Hornady BTHP had a slightly higher SD in the mid 20s, but the 77 OTM has been very consistenly under 17 SD.

    AR Positional POI Shift Test

Initial range session with a new Aero M4E1 upper with their enhanced handguard and a Blackstone Arms 12.5" barrel shooting AAC 77 OTM. Velocity averaged 2634 with a 16.1 SD. Group shown in the top right is ~.56". Extremely impressed with the upper's performance. POI shift is now only .2mil and...

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

My personal example: I shot a group from bipod/bag and POA = POI. Moved to a tripod/bag and the center of that group was ~.4mil low. I shot a third group on the tripod/bag while holding .4mil high and found that by me holding .4mil high, the group centered around the POI. My tripod shooting is...

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

No one is denying a standard reciver is inaccurate, the debate is POI shift going from bipod/bag to a tripod/barricade. Take that same upper that is obviously accurate in whatever position you shot that group in, and then test it in alternate positions. I'm confident you'll see a shift. Now...

How Much Barrel (weight) Can AR15 Receiver Handle?

I got an Aero enhanced reciever and handguard in for testing. Should test next week. Oh, and www.sgtofarms.com makes enhanced Arca rails for the Aero M4e1 upper. https://www.sgtofarms.com/product-page/sgt-of-arms-ar-15-arca-handguard

    Rifle Scopes Leupold Mark 4HD

The illuminated TMR is dummy thick per the specs at .1mil. The regular TMR falls in line with every other precision based reticle at .05mil. This is for the main stadia extending 5 total mils in the X/Y axis. The lines extending further are the same .2mil thickness for both. Other differences...

    Ridgeline Defense RD-15 LPR

@Rudy Gonsior 1. I appreciate the response. Looking forward to a hopeful 12.5 upper! Makes me consider holding off building one for now. Big fan of that barrel length and 77SMK class bullets. Its just so well rounded giving up only 50-75 yards of comprable data to a 16" barrel. 2. Thats what...

    Ridgeline Defense RD-15 LPR

@Rudy Gonsior 2 questions. 1. Has RD considering doing a 12.5" upper in this lineup? 2. Aside from the thermal fitting (seen in RD's recent video), what makes the RD upper reciever different than Seekins, Colbalt, or Aero? The way y'all show heating the reciever extension to mate the barrel...

The 77OTM is what my post was referring to btw. They are usually in stock for $.62/round.

It does not suck. I'm getting consistent SDs in the mid teens.

Was hoping they'd have something to compete with the Leupold 2-10, but I guess not. Good for the cloners I suppose.

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

To those saying there cannot be a good reticle in this mag range, both the Athlon 2-12 and Meopta Optika6 3-18 do a good job at both ends of their mag ranges. See @C_Does reviews on both. The Athlon is consistently compared with higher priced optics and seemingly wins in the reticle game. That...

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

I'm guessing Leupold didn't put a parallax adjustment in that optic so it didn't kill their Mk5 2-10 offering. Looking forward to the full review!

He talks about the reticle at around the 4:00 mark. States its good from 7-12x and you may need to use the illumination below that.
