    Not much compares to the German glass, if you don't like the NXS you may not like the Razor HD either. As others stated might just want to save a little more and step up to something you know you will like.

    Not easy to find places in south Texas either. Most ranges only go to about 200 around here, luckily I have friends with private place to shoot out to almost a mile.

    Savage 10fcp bottom-bolt-release stock compatibility?

    As mentioned above, you will have to have a smith mill out about .080 on the right rear side and change to the old style sear/release. It should only cost you maybe $100 at most.

    They do help at long range, it's amazing how little cant it takes to miss at long range.

    Pac-Nor will make you whatever barrel length and contour you want in a prefit. I keep going back to them as all the barrels I have bought from them have been shooters. It will be about a 12 to 14 week wait with most of the barrel makers, as I doubt most will have 30" 338 large shank barrels in...

    Barrel contour for 338 Lapua

    When I build my 338 Norma Mag I plan on running a straight taper to 1" on a 27" or 28" barrel.

    Looking at new stock.

    Manners makes really good stocks, I have the pillars in mine but did not bed them. They still shoot groups like this without bedding them. This group was with factory ammo during barrel break in. I have since shot a group under .25" when doing load development a couple of weeks ago.

    Just Ordered My First Long Range Rifle--A Savage 12 LRP!

    Everytime I see one of these it makes me question weather or not I should be building a custom 6.5 Creedmoor. Everyone of these I have seen flat out shoots.
