    This is hard to watch:

I saw this in a concealed carry class that I recently took. It was explained that the officer had been recently reprimanded for using excessive force when making arrests. Which explains his restraint. But I agree, he should have smoked that dude the minute the carbine came out.

    R700 .223 load, 1/9 twist

I have a Rem LTR, chambered in .223 rem w/ a 20” barrel w/ 1/9 twist. It likes 69 SMK, 75 Hornady BTHP, 75 Berber VLD. It hates 75 Hornady Amax. 24 grains of Varget or 23.3 grains of XBR for 75 bullets. 1/2” groups are typical. The bergers are worth the extra money when the wind is blowing...

    Fierce Fury?

I bought an Edge in 2016, chambered 6.5 CM. I like it. It will shoot 1/2” groups most of the time. It likes 123 grain SST’s pretty well, 140 Bergers VLDs are pretty good also. Both will shoot 1/2” three shot groups. I’m currently trying some Barnes 127 LRX. This is shaping up pretty good.

“We’re done being civil” — say the people who have never been civil

Civility? Throwing balloons filled with urine and feces at L.E. I don’t think so. Remember those “civil” protests?

Reloading: Where to start and what to buy

The RCBS kits would make a good start. You get all the basics tools needed to get started. You can add on gradually until you have everything . Case tumblers, measuring tools, ultrasonic cleaners are things that good to have to load quality ammo but are necessary to get started.

    6.5 Creedmoor

I bought some 140 Hybrids to try, the first load I I tried looks pretty good off the Bench at 100 yards. 42.4 grains of RL 17. I think They are seated about .015 or .020 off the lands. Hopefully they will work good off the 600 yard line.

Scope advice for my GA Precision Rock

Rancho, I have Nightforce NXS 5.5x22 scopes on my tactical style rifles and have never been dissappointed. They have been great at the range. But, hunting with these rifle scope combo's, would probably be a little heavy.

Here's All The Stuff I Ordered Today!!!! Now looking for an Annealer

Home Page Check out the Anneal-Rite kit. It's pretty simple and less costly than some of machines that I've seen on the web. I had never annealed before purchacing one, and was a bit intimidated, worried about ruining some good cases. But I have annealed a couple hundred so far and its...

Help with 308 full length resize

I think that the problem could be the die. I too have had problems with a 308 Hornady sizing die. My problem was that it took an extreme amount of force to run the fired case into the die. When a case stuck in the die I boxed it up and sent back to hornady. They simply removed the stuck case and...

What beam powder scale do you use?

Me too! But, I bought my kit in 1978. I've thought about upgrading to an electronic scale, but I've decided to stick with 5-0-5.

New guy! need a little advice

A general purpose standard full length die set is hard to beat. I'm using Hornady Custom grade die set and standard RCBS die sets. Good luck! You'll have a blast develooping and testing your own ammo. I'll second Bob munden's advice on powder selection.

Remington sps with varget and 155

I had trouble getting 155's to group well in my model 700 tactical, but I'm having good success with 168's and 175's. 20 inch, 1in 12. Tried 4064, h335, Varget, 8208 XBR powders, nothing to work in the remington. But they group well in a Win 70 with a 26" varmint barrel. Just my 2 cents.

    69gr. matchkings @ imr 8208?

When I ran short of Varget and could not find any to buy, I started looking for an alternative. I decide on 8208 and was able to obtain a good supply. It's been performing just as we'll as Varget and maybe a little better using 69 and 75 grain bullets out of Rem 700 LTR 20" bArrel w/ 1-9 twist...
