Sidearms & Scatterguns Conceled Carry for the active life style.

Re: Conceled Carry for the active life style. I've seen the Safepacker line by Wilderness (they make the instructor belts) recommended, I haven't used one myself. I have used a cheap commercial fanny pack occasionally, it actually worked ok, less bounce if moved to one side. The Eagle looks...

Looking for new SWAT entry weapon

Re: Looking for new SWAT entry weapon Stick with a top flight manufacturer like Colt, LMT, BCM or KAC (HK and POF are probably fine too). Don't get Bushmasters like we did, some work fine but about half have issues on FA.

    Maggie’s Advise urgently needed---SRT or K9?

Re: Advise urgently needed---SRT or K9? That is an individual choice but K9 will probably have more benefits as a resume item later. Our K9s are also SWAT and get to be part of more exciting stuff than anyone else. They also do the most training and get called out the most (most inconvenienced).

Suppressors revolver question, what is this gun worth?

Re: revolver question, what is this gun worth? The hardest part is likely finding someone interested in that style gun, not the most popular type around. My guess is if you can get $400-500 you are doing pretty well. Probably cost quite a bit more to have built. The shop I used to work for...

Gunsmithing Need a GOOD Gunsmith from Florida.

Re: Need a GOOD Gunsmith from Florida. Be sure to check FL laws before you do the deal as well. Last I checked a non-imigrant (non-resident) alien could buy a rifle or shotgun in FL if they had a hunting license. However, I believe this may have changed in the last few years (post 9-11).

    SIG Blaser Tactical 2 Overview

Re: SIG Blaser Tactical 2 Overview Good job, you covered the issues well. My dept has two LRS2s and I have seen those magazine issues as well. We have had a few feeding and ejection issues as well. One had a ejector that worked loose (its a threaded cap over a spring) and had to go back for...

    Suppressors Question for SWAT/LE/Military on sidearms . . . .

Re: Question for SWAT/LE/Military on sidearms . . . . From a LE perspective there is no reason to issue anything other than a Glock or M&P. If you have to be different a Sig or H&K is also acceptable. The durability, reliability and user friendly/ease of use factors make them top choice. If...

Anybody played with a NovaTac light?

Re: Anybody played with a NovaTac light? I have a Storm I got at a shoot a few months ago. It looks to be well made and puts out a good amount of light for its size. I have a bunch of other lights and haven't used it. If your interested send me a PM and I'll make you a deal.

    body armor in gun shop?

Re: body armor in gun shop? I never felt the need when I worked at a shop. If I was an RO at a range or closing by myself then I might consider it. Depends on the location of the shop too. I wear body armor on a daily basis and its not comfortable. If the shop is at risk enough that I felt...

Someone help my fear... modding a 40X

Re: Someone help my fear... modding a 40X Modify it. Its your rifle, change it as you see fit. You're not bubba sporterizing a NM 03 Springfield, its a high end target rifle being used as a high end target rifle. Unless it is a very good condition complete USMC marked example I doubt the...

    Suppressors Phantom QD 7.62 on a .308 & .223 Thoughts?

Re: Phantom QD 7.62 on a .308 & .223 Thoughts? If you want a lighter weight version YHM is coming out with an all TI version of the 556 and 762 Phantoms. Check with Major Malfunction for more. The prices I heard were very reasonable.

    Why no Mod. 52s?

Re: Why no Mod. 52s? I would think cost is the main reason, most Win 52s I see are quite expensive. It seems the Savage and CZ rifles are most popular and both are sub $500. The Rem 40X is more expensive but mimics the Rem 700 so it is worth the cost for some.

    Raineir Arms Barrel?

Re: Raineir Arms Barrel? Thats a pretty new product but the initial reports I've seen are positive. Rainier makes good stuff and that will probably give you what you want. That isn't an especially light barrel though probably lighter than a bolt gun.

    Caveat Emptor - ADCO

Re: Caveat Emptor - ADCO You accused ADCO of abusing your equipment. Then you expect the company to take it in the a$$ because you "thought" (incorrectly) that your gun was fired. After the situation was explained you still want to bash the company for being what? Rude? You were caustic from...
