    Custom action with 3 - position safety?

    I do love a model 70 with the control feed and that 3 safety for hunting. It’s a shame more people don’t build on that platform.

    Long Range for beginners

    I don’t think I would wanna try to do long range with an 06 or a 7mag. Your shoulder gonna be killing you at the end of the day I think I just go buy me a 24-26”6.5 Creedmoor and send it. Them suckers will shoot a long way and they don’t have a whole lot of recoil.

    Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna just pull the trigger for lack of a better phrase. I’ll buy that barrel next week and start the process. Now to just find a Gun Smith to do it.

    I probably wouldn’t shoot 162s I really like that 140 grain Sierra boattail Hollow point game King that bullet shoots lights out and kills deer and hogs like a lightning bolt with RL- 16 or H4350 in every and I stress every 7/08 I’ve had and I’ve had a bunch of them in the last 10 years...

    I never heard of anyone doing barrel swaps on CA actions. I know its not a high end action but I already own it. Not being cheap but frugal if people have had good luck with them.

    I believe I finally shot out my 243 Win. It is a Ridge line with the factory carbon barrel. I found a proof research .284 barrel locally cheap ($699) and thought about swapping barrels. After 3000+ hot rounds down the pipe on the 243. groups have gone from 1/2" to 3" of late. I really hate to...

    New to the 7mmPRC

    That the same exact book and data I’m using. I went and shot some H 1000 with those 197 just a few minutes ago and the speed is dismal in my opinion but I keep telling myself that’s almost a 200 grain bullet.

    Well, I’ve been testing some 197 SMKs with StaBall HD and so far the speed numbers aren’t just super impressive. Only getting about 2675 FPS the SD is in the single digits, but the speed is not there.

    Varget or H4350 for 6.5cm 130 gr?

    39.0 of RL-16 and the Sierra #1728 130 HPBT game king is MONEY in all 4 of my 6.5CMs as far as accuracy is concerned. I get 2525 from my SBR and 2750 from my 24" guns and one hole groups. I was really wanting to try some H4350 as it shoots so well in my 7-08s with 140s. wouldn't mind a little...

    Those induction coils are easy to build out of solid copper wire. You can build whatever diameter you want and it came with several to boot, so I’m sure it could. If you need something hot that thing will do it.
