    Yes I’ve wondered about that where we go to shoot there is nobody that has anything really high-end and I would dearly love to look through one of those high-end scope to see if it’s worth spending the money or I’m just throwing money away on a spotting scope.

    That’s how I do my all CAs. Just put em on when I’m in the blind. My 16” 6.5 is so short I just leave it on. I’m going to TRY To shoot the 280 AI without a can this year and see how it works. It is so stinking long the can makes it like a yardstick.

    New to me 280AI

    Oh boy it likes the heavy’s! That’s 300yds with a 175ELDX and 61.5gr of 8133. That will work all day long for me. Under .25MOA in a cheap over the counter gun is just fine with me.

    Hers a nice little horsing around at the range today at 300yds group with some 160Sierras and IMR 7977. Not too bad for a over the counter deer rifle.

    I see a stainless one on GB now in Fort Worth. Close enough to do a face to face deal and the dude INSISTS on using a FFL. What a waste. That will add $100 to the price after tax.

    Well this is kind of a sad day I’ve realize the only way I’m going to be able to build this gun that I have in my mind that I have had in my mind since I was a kid 40 years ago is a beat up gun at a gun show just for the action. 😔
