Why such a stigma with California gun owners??

    Great quote! What's the source?

Sons of Guns Will Hayden arrested on molestation charges

Last time I checked, you could not even possess a firearm in NM or Texas under such a charge. Don't know about LA.

Why such a stigma with California gun owners??

Been there, done that. Visited an Army buddy there back in '84. The laws sucked then. I can only imagine what it's like now. Beautiful state, but so is upstate NY. Wouldn't live there either. Will I sell to you: is your money green?

You ever got someone a gun as a gift?

I bought my wife an early P&R S&W M29 after a few years of marriage. We are divorced now, but I still miss that pistol.

    Van Orden Model 70

Win 70, The non-scoped rifle is civilian and not free-floated, nor glass bedded. The scoped rifle is "US Property", free-floated with minute evidence of glass bedding. The non-scoped rifle is for sale. Harley

Ban on body armor in the works!

It's all about control. Arguing any other point is fruitless. If they reference the LA bank shootout of "89 (yes, its been that long), our talking points would be: 1. So...it happened once 15 yrs ago, is this a threat? 2. They used illegal full-auto machineguns, how did that law work for...

Rapper shoots and pistol whips his buddy, in the Bronx. Can't be any stupider.

Ammo in the 'hood must be cheap. He didn't pick up his brass. But truely, I'm with TNT. The shits that step over the guy are just as bad.

Green Beret officer forced out of service

Breakin' rules ain't breakin' the law. Loosing your career over rules created by non-combatants orchestrating non-conventional wars that have never been declared = sucks. Never met a pointer that I respected. They had their own little clique for god's sake. Patton, Eisenhower, and the like...

    My Old school Parker Hale

Thanks for sharing; nice piece. We don't see too many of those. If it puts holes where you want them (which I'm sure it does), then it's a great piece.

Thoughts on this rifle for a "starter" rifle?

Looks like a pretty good deal. Have no experience with that scope. Out-of-the-box M700s can be very accurate. Had one that hated 168 gr, but loved 180 gr.

Movie Theater Mad Max: Fury Road

One of my favorite series. Eventhough Mel isn't doing it (too old), still looks to be good. Which one was Charlize? She seems to be comfortable with guns.

Interesting conversation with an 18D yesterday.

MtnCreek. True. In a military school program there can be classes on the Constitution. When I was in college ROTC, I'm sure that I had some of those classes. But I'm talking about active duty training. Most grunts have not had ROTC or military schooling prior to active duty, and they don't...

Interesting conversation with an 18D yesterday.

KYpatriot. Great article. As to killing Americans, shall we look to Waco, Texas. Yes, this was conducted by Federal LEOs. But the guys that conducted that raid were lied to; they were part of a group, and they never relented until ALL witnesses were killed. The military (Ft. Hood) was...

Interesting conversation with an 18D yesterday.

Back to the OP. When I was active duty in the 70-80s, there was no instruction on the Constitution nor the Bill of Rights. As previously posted, that knowledge should be a foundation of your personality that drew you to serving in the first place. Why don't they teach this? Personally, I...
