    No. I talked to Curtis. When you snug the barrel hand tight, it will index in the same place. No need to retime your brake. Now, if you are talking about moving your brake around to different barrels, then most likely yes, but if the brake stays with the barrel, no, you will not need to retime.

    It's a quick change system and it works well. Dave P. won with it last weekend with the barrel hand tight and set screws locking it down. It's not meant to be a return to zero system and they have not pushed it as such. If you don't mind checking/adjusting your zero when you do a barrel swap...

    This is similar to what the Curtis Vector does, but with integral lug and it works. Last weekend's LRSE Prs match was won using a hand tight barrel and the set screws on the Vector securing the barrel. Not sure that it would work the same with a standard/non-integral lug.

    Same here. Just waiting on reamer to show. Looks like 30.6 and 31 H4895 are the known easy nodes guys are using on Accurate forums. Another good question would be which mag setup guys are running with which action.

    Yeah some type of bend is critical. I made a half ass cup out of a piece of scrap that works good. The tube seems to let me get a more consistent initial throw because all the kernels flow out and don’t get hung up in the bend like the straw. Not a big deal though. It all works. Love this machine.

    This probably wont work near as well, but I did some fine sanding on my chargemaster weight to get it to spec. 771.62gn = 50.00013g At least its a reference point to check.

    So is the Zero Hold set up in such a way that once set, you should not have to reset it when putting the scope on a different rifle, provided that you do not have to move the zero more than 2mils/5moa lower?

    Curtis Vector Pre-order tomorrow

    They will hold the same tolerances as the Axiom. I've got two of those and do my own barrel work and my two Axiom are dead nuts identical from the tenon measurement to bolt face measurements. They are also selling complete bolts for $275, .224 Valkyrie, .223 and magnum bolts.
