    My friend made a sword

    I have/use propane forges. Sword would require a coal forge as it produces a much higher and more intense heat. Also, a very different skill set. Maybe when I retire or cut way back on my work load I'll devote more time to making or trying to make a sword, knives, or other iron/steel projects.

    I know. I've been a professional farrier for 40 years. Have heated and shaped a lot of steel into shoes, plus lots of factory made shoes that needed heated and shaped. Thus , I have a pretty good idea about the time and skill set it takes to make a sword,. Part of why I'm curious as to the price.
