    Cigar thread 2.0

Last night, a Man O' War Ruination and an Oliva Serie V. Wasn't in the mood for any surprises. Both high on my list and always consistent. Tonight, my first My Father La Antiguedad. Perfect draw and great flavor. A pepper blast the whole way through and I'm in the final third as I type (I...

You were totally right. The Kristoff was awesome as well. I picked up both at a great little B&M I found on a weekend trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Every time I go up, I try to stop by and grab a few that I haven't tried before. Ironically, the only Gurkha I've tried to date came from there...

I'm 2/3 of the way through my first 1926 right now. Hands down the best I've ever had. A Kristoff ligero maduro is up next.

    Cigar thread 2.0

Man O' War Ruination Robusto #1 and Bulleit bourbon, neat. Before this, a Liga #9. The weather is beautiful, rocking chair is comfortable and I've got nothing to do so I may dig out another one before the night is over.

Graham, I thought I'd been following this thing pretty closely so I'll apologize, But how is this Yeager guy connected to TR? Or are you just pointing out the similarities in the douchbaggery in both camps?? Good call on the hand wringing, by the way... The facial grooming and constant...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Carry knife preferences

Zero Tolerance 0301. It really is a beast of a knife but it fits my hand so well. And with the weight of my duty loadout, I really don't notice it. Definitely not for everyone but it is a tank and has served me well.

    Book Advice

Sorry, fat thumbed my phone... Sean Parnell is one of the best reads I've got my hands on in a while. Damn Few by Rorke Denver was pretty good (SEALs) And lone survivor is near the top of my list. Although these are pretty specific where I'm sure you're looking for more general knowledge books...

Maggie’s What are you drinking right now!?

Elijah Craig 12 small batch, neat. I gave Jefferson's Reserve an honest try first, but it's just not for me. And I'm just not articulate enough to even attempt to describe the flavor profile.

Maggie’s What are you drinking right now!?

The Balvenie 12 year neat paired with an Oliva Serie V. Enjoying the view from my front porch rocking chair. So glad the weather gave me a break for a little while. Good way to end the day...

    Back issues, any advice?

+1 Maggot. I herniated L4 and L5 a few years ago in the middle of a deadlifting session. Your symptoms sound very similar to mine. Especially that you've been sick and that seems to have irritated it. Luckily I got mine back in place with a few months of physical therapy. I had a great...

    Lets talk about protruding discs

I went through this almost 1 year ago. I did competitive powerlifting for years and while deadlifting one day with a weight that wasn't even half of my 1 rep max, I herniated L5. I spent 2 weeks on my back and the doctors told me basically the same thing: No squats, no deadlifts. Which was...

    savage 30-06

Re: savage 30-06 There's nothing at all wrong with your rifle or the round. If you'll spend a little time researching it (even if its just this forum alone) you'll see that Savage makes one of the better "out of the box" guns. It really doesn't have to be a 5G custom built rig to be a lot of...

LE agencies using something besides .308/.223

Re: LE agencies using something besides .308/.223 Fdkay, first off I just want to say you're a stand-up guy for making that type of commitment to your agency. Thats a ton of time, money, and dicipline for a man to shoulder. I've been in SWAT for about 6 years and the last 3 have been as a...
