Ohio Rayners Feb 23-24 LR steel plate match

Re: Ohio Rayners Feb 23-24 LR steel plate match Hard to believe it snuck up on us that quickly. I didn't even get down there a single time over the winter break. I'll be there for the pistol match this weekend, but it doesn't look like the rifle match will work out for me. Maybe Saturday, but...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns glock help

Re: glock help I'm guessing it's not a Glock barrel? Lighter recoil spring should fix it if the problem is due to the porting. I'd try a 12# spring. If that doesn't work the barrel fit may be the problem.

    Affordable .223 plinking bullets

Re: Affordable .223 plinking bullets I've never used those, but found them a couple days ago. I have used the .30 cal pulled bullets from them and they work fine. Those marks do look a bit harsh, but as long as you aren't putting them through a can I wouldn't worry. With any luck the...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Glock 27 question

Re: Glock 27 question It happens too fast. The G34 and 35 come with an extended version that a lot of shooters change out in favor of the smaller stock one due to the same problem. If it continues to be an issue I'd grind the tab off or way down and train her to pull on the back of the slide...

Suppressors Cheaper to build or buy?

Re: Cheaper to build or buy? I have about $70 in materials in my larger rifle cans and maybe$20 in the .22lr can. Yes, I do have some $$ in my own equipment, but it's nice being able to do your own work such as threading barrels.

Finally got my .260 project together

I decided to buy a DPMS LR260, but had to take it apart and customize it a bit. I made myself a custom 16" handguard, made the gas block adjustable, threaded the barrel, and of course a little Duracoat. The handguard is larger at the receiver end due to the size of the barrel nut, but is tapered...

Gunsmithing M&P 15-22 flash hider removal

Re: M&P 15-22 flash hider removal 15-22s are not pinned and there was no thread locker on mine, but it was REALLY torqued on there. I had aluminum jaws to match the barrel, but still had to really crank on the vise.

Re: AR-10 in .260 remington distance kylon, seeing you are from Ohio I feel obligated to make sure you get that rifle out to Rayner's or Thunder Valley and then you'll know what it can do. Where are you in Ohio? FWIW, I'm in the process of putting together a similar rifle for next year...

Suppressors Form 1 .30 cal can

I guess I've negleted taking pictures of a couple of projects from earlier this year. My big .338 can worked so well with stepped cones I figured I would play it safe and use them again. This one is an 8" long all stainless .30 cal can with stepped cone baffles and threaded end caps. Stainless...
