Who makes a chassis for a win model 70?

I've been looking into this too. XLR and Mcree for sure. Not sure if more. Also, if its not already set up for AI type mags, the action will need a very slight modification (removal of metal) to accept the mags.

    6.5 Creedmoor 1/7 Twist barrel

My 6.5 is 1 in 8, 26". I can see tightening up a little in a short barrel, and a progressive twist would interest me. Why? Because my background is in mathematics and it just seems cool! Plus, the rate of twist is increasing, so it will impart a rotational acceleration to the bullet. Without...

    Recommendations for a cheek pad?

Triad on two rifles - love them. I took the adjustable piece off my McMillan A4 stock and put on the Triad.

    Belt recommendations

I like one of two approaches. 1) 1.75" Cobra outer belt with stiff velcro inner belt. Safariland or other holster and kydex mag pouches on outer belt. Easily put on and taken off, easily reconfigured for various courses. This is my warm weather option and what I generally use for 3-gun. 2)...

    Gunsmithing Bolt handle knob

Very nice. Me likey! I really like the one GAP puts on their rifles. I've got a GAP and another rifle that Short Action Customs did with the Badger. I like the Badger, but I like the GAP knob better. The Badger is a touch too large, IMO. GAP and Badger respectively:

Need a new muzzle brake for my AR-15

With due respect, if you're having the issue using the Miculek brake, I question how much any brake is going to solve your problem. The Miculek brake is pretty aggressive reducing recoil - more so than a BattleComp (which I use pimarily). Something ported on the top and closed on the bottom will...

    Need help on Gessiele trigger

Creep is a function of the trigger engaging the sear and the length of the sear. If the trigger engages the sear and then drags for some distance before the sear drops, creep is what is felt. If the distance is very short, creep is virtually eliminated. It has nothing to do with the trigger pins...

    Need help on Gessiele trigger

I'm a confessed Geissele junkie. SSA on two AR's, SSA-E on one, SSF on one and National Match Match on my competition rifle. I would never use the word "mushy" to describe any of them, even out of the box. Geissele triggers are know for being crisp. I'd call Bill and get his take. Regarding the...

Rifle Scopes Hard use Recce carbine optic...stumped.

Sure would open a bunch of options switching to a mil-based system. FFP, MOA reticle and knobs and hard-use robust ... hmmm - got nothing but USO or maybe some custom Leupold if they were willing.

    Hearing protection?

MSA Supreme Pro-X for a muff-type are the best I've owned. I use Hear-Pro in-the-ear custom molded electronic units for all-day matches and when shooting rifles, since the stock pushes the muffs off the ear slightly when getting a good cheek weld.

    shooting mats

TAB, and also (dare I say it) the Midway mat is pretty nice. Not real portable, but good for going to the range, etc.

    Rifle Scopes Scope position

Don't forget the effect of spin drift with respect to the offset differential of the optical plane of the image erection mechanism, creating chromatic aberrations in the refracted image of the projectile's trace.
