Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Good info from TheBelgian. The R7S is a folding Rem 700 Chassis with a Monopod. It uses the same fore end as the A1 with removable rail sections. The rear end has rapid adjustments for both length of pull and cheek height. The folding mechanism is rock solid when out with no "wiggle" and...

POLL - Most COMPLETE ballistics app

My vote to Shooter. I used Ballistic for about a year before I went to Ballistic AE. I used B AE for about 2 years and now use Shooter for my actual shooting. However, every time I get into ballistic what ifs (like a 6mm Creedmoor vs. 6.5 SAUM, or what ever) I use Ballistic. The library there...

Rifle Scopes Review of Desert Tech's AMR reticle in Kahles K624i

Hey guys, I have been fortunate enough to pick up some support from Desert Tech (formerly Desert Tactical Arms) in my competitive shooting. Along with a new A1 rifle chassis came a Kahles K624i optic with Desert Tech's own patented reticle known as the Advanced Milling Reticle or AMR. From the...

Wow, ok. I'm getting a clearer picture. You had every bolt out. Ok, the shank diameter is certainly not the issue because you said that it slid out of the chassis good the first time. Just to double check the shank it should measure right at 1.250" plus or minus a couple thousandths. You...

A couple of questions: Is this the first time you have removed the barrel? There is the single locking bolt that has no torque and is marked locked and unlocked, and on the other side there is 4 tensioning bolts that require torque. Which of these are you referring to? I am thinking 2...

I guess. I put a video together of the 7 SAUM. 5 rounds from a 338 mag, and 2 top feed. The mag will hang up about 1 out of every 20 if you don't run the bolt right, but a little reset of the bolt fixes it. It top feeds better than any caliber I have however. I didn't shave it out, just stuck the smallest washer I could find in between. I would post a picture of it (and a video of the SAUM feeding for that matter) if I could figure out how to do any of that on this "new and improved" Snipers Hide. Ty

I got advice on this from Coldboremiracle through Russ. CBM has been running a 7 SAUM for some time now. He says its all in how you run the bolt. Run it to fast or to slow and it will not release from the mag right. After I heard this, I ran several mags through it and didn't have a single hang...

Good advice here. Another way is to make the mags drop like butter is to put a very small washer between the skins on the bolts that are just in front of and behind the mag well. Ty
