    Hunting & Fishing 6.5 or 7mm RSAUM

Might be a good way to get brass too, since it is so damn hard to come by!

    Hunting & Fishing 6.5 or 7mm RSAUM

...also it is expensive, but you can buy loaded ammo for the 6.5 SAUM from Copper Creek, and you can get it loaded to your specifications. I load my own, but before I got my dies, I ordered my first batch from them and I get all my prepped brass from them so I don't have to dick around with the...

    Hunting & Fishing 6.5 or 7mm RSAUM

Remington Express Ammo 7mm Remington Short Action Ultra Mag 150 Grain I would damn sure be shooting 180 grain Berger HVLD's (hand loads with load development) if I went to the expense of building a custom 7 SAUM though to take advantage of the accuracy/knock down power of this amazing round.

    Hunting & Fishing 6.5 or 7mm RSAUM

Yes, you can buy factory ammo for 7 SAUM, from what I hear components are unobtanium right now though, I just hooked a buddy up with some 300 SAUM brass to make some 7 SAUM brass out of.

    Pics of where you shoot

2100 yards from target area to shooting position, getting range with Tarapin. (firing position just to the right of the little knob at the upper right portion of pic) My wife's 2100 yard impact with 375 Cheytac at 2100 yards, took me a few rounds to get it dialed in, but she whacked...

    Hunting & Fishing 6.5 or 7mm RSAUM

I agree, can't go wrong with either one, I like my 6.5 SAUM, but I have seen the 7's that my buddies shoot with the 180 Berger HVLD's that shoot lights out! 6.5 SAUM, Remmington 700 action, SAKO extractor/custom bolt knob, recoil lug bedded to McRee chassis, Jewel trigger, Benchmark...

Hunting & Fishing Upgrading from Monarch 5's Binos.

Just got my binos back from Nikon, sent them in for broken plastic eye piece, they sent me out a new pair of Nikon Prostaff 5's 10x50's, I had sent in Trailblazer 10x50's, a slight upgrade from what I can see, happy with their service, I didn't have any paperwork and I had won them at an elk...

Hunting & Fishing Pelt care in back country

Thank you all for the replies. My " google- foo " was drawing a blank on this one. I remember when I was growing up in the black hills in SD it was my brother and I's chore to flesh the yotes before the fur buyer would come to town. We just used a spoon when it was on the fur stretcher and my...

Hunting & Fishing Pelt care in back country

So skin it , flesh it, salt it a few times in a breathable " game bag". Should it be stored fur out or leather side out?

Thanks for the suggestions, any ideas on a "home made" stretcher in the field?

Hunting & Fishing Pelt care in back country

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions for the best way to keep a hide in good shape while hunting the back country. I shot a yote last year first day up there, I skinned him out and just balled it up and we packed it out but it was 8 days later. By the time I got it...

Hunting & Fishing Finally drew a bull tag!!

Beautiful country, you have already won half the battle! I take my hat off to anyone who tackles these beasts with archery gear, I know how much work it is to put yourself in the right place at the right time with a rifle! Good luck up there this fall and just enjoy your time in the mountains...

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

The Targetcam.net guy is supposed to be working on something for a recording device to record in real time, really looking forward to that, would like to put some videos together with a picture in picture of the shooting position and the target through the target cam. Thanks on the case, I was...

Hunting & Fishing Upgrading from Monarch 5's Binos.

Looking forward to your thoughts. On a side note I just sent my Nikon's in for service. One of the plastic eye pieces came off on an outing and I didn't notice. I had won them at an elk foundation dinner and never filled out my warranty card and didn't keep any paperwork. So I figured I...

Glad it's up and running. I DID have to change the settings on YouTube so it wasn't private and had to acknowledge the copyrighted material so it could be seen on mobile devices. I am chomping at the bit for our Bob Marshall trip this year! 13 days and a wake up! :)

Night Vision TNVC Announces the WASP NV Clip-On Device

I agree, and the CVND-LR, although I am sure is an amazing piece, was more than I was willing to dole out for as often as I use it. I went with the D-930 and have been very happy. I use it in conjunction with DBAL-D2 illuminator, then use a PVS-14 helmet mounted for spotting with a Torch for...

    Fieldcraft Hecs

You are probably right! I think looking at these websites when hunting season is drawing near is like going to the supermarket when you are hungry! :) You end up seeing all kinds of shit that you "need"! I have no expectation of walking right into a herd of elk, or a pack of wolves like...
