    NRL Hunter One

For what its worth, guys with separate binoculars and rangefinders still finish in the top 3.

    Rifle Mounted Range Finder

Good luck. I don't want to crap on your dream, if you can build it and it works I will buy for sure. I do software inside consumer electronics for a living, and tried to build a rangefinding project off of a commercial module. None of the modules were remotely competitive with the better...

    NRL Hunter One

I've been building and shooting lightweight, sub 8lb guns for years for events like the Sniper Adventure Challenge. I use those same guns in the CD steel safari, NRL hunter, the local match, whatever - Would I be better off shooting my 19lb AIAX? - Dam straight I would. Would I get better...

Magpul x Maztech X4 System - Hot or Not?

A big +1 on open sourcing the comm modules. Kestrel was suck jerks about sharing their comm interface I turned on the Bluetooth stack and reverse engineered it so my dynamic range card app could have my AB kestrel update a phone based rangecard (overlayed on the image of the field course target...

    Bi-pod suggestion

Already paid a fair bit to be at 9.75lbs with a mg chassis, 6.5PRC, full 4-24 FFP optic, suppressor, arca rail, sling.... Hence trying to figure out how to get a triple pull ckyepod a tiny bit lighter than the 2.25 lbs reported above. Its a nice to have. The atlas will work.

    Bi-pod suggestion

Ugh, I have 2.25 lbs for a bipod on my NRL hunter rifle. Triple pull is right at the limit. I have several ARCA atlas I'll probably use for now. Need a triple pull lite! I can put two atlas (regular and with ski pole legs) :) for less than 2lbs. Need magic fluid NASA pours on stuff to...

Colorado Tripod - Rocky Mountain Tripod

I saw one at a match a couple of weeks ago. My next tripod will be a TFCT with the integrated anvil 30 for weight and packability. But the model I saw down at blue steel ranch was more than up to the task.

    Giraud Trimmer Spanners

Park tool company makes flat, thin spanners that will probably do the job. They are metric but i'm sure they have ones that are close enough to do a good job.

Hunting Chassis Weight - MDT ESS vs LSS XL GEN 2

I've been using the XLR element magnesium and XLR atom chassis, very light. Neither of those is particularly heavy, I don't think either would be 'punishing' either. But I've carried a 16lb DTA hundreds of miles in a backpack only to have it go 'click' so I may be a masochist.

Zero Compromise Optic 2022 and beyond Poll

Light weight hunting FFP, 3-18 or 4-20 ish, capped windage. NRL hunter and matches where you carry your stuff and baby strollers don't roll is a thing. Make it bombproof, but as light as the Mark5.

    Bi-pod suggestion

The big advantage to the Ckyepod is being able to quickly drop the legs down 36" and shoot over obstacles where there is no other support. Faster than a tripod, and having one end of the gun supported lets you use tree/tripod/whatever for rear support making for really solid positions. Not...
