    Tikka T3 Picture Thread.

Re: Tikka T3 Picture Thread. Thanks for the info. Really don't need any lessons on polymers though, was just using plastic as a general term. Don't see any problem with the bolt knob if its just a cover but I've seen more than one "polymer" trigger guard break under severe use, as tuff as...

Re: Tikka T3 Picture Thread. Hmmm, I just read somewhere last nite a guy said his Sporter came w/ a plastic bolt knob. Was hoping it wasn't true. Bad enough the trigger guard is. Okie

    Tikka T3 Picture Thread.

Re: Tikka T3 Picture Thread. Is it true that some or all t3's come from the factory w/ plastic bolt knobs? What other plastic parts are used? Been looking hard at Tikka but not a fan of plastic parts, especially in some areas....such as bolt knobs. Makes me suspect of overall quallity. Okie

    Rifle choice for my daughter.

Re: Rifle choice for my daughter. Might consider 260 rem. and 7-08. Quality componants available, lots of data, easy on barrels, great down range and ballistics, low recoil. A new set of dies is a small price for a lifetime of enjoyment. Good luck to you and your daughter. Okie

    168gr Matchking problem?????

Re: 168gr Matchking problem????? Well, the best way to not worry about "tran sonic passage" at distance is to stay away from 168's and shoot longer, heavier bullets. Boat tail my ass.....there's a lot of 175+'s, no matter what the profile that will stay super sonic to 1K+ out of a 308. You...

Hornady .30 208 A max for hunting? Why not?

Re: Hornady .30 208 A max for hunting? Why not? Not gonna comment on thick or thin but I've been pushing Amax's here for years....even when SMK's were THE king and if you were useing anything else you didn't have a clue. Not only do they fly as good (if not better) than SMK's, they kill much...

    Range Report Bullet Stability Trade-Offs

Re: Bullet Stability Trade-Offs Dosn't have as much to do with weight as it does with length of the bullet. Palma style bullets are very long therefore it takes a faster twist to stabilize them as it does the "heavies" that are also longer simply because of thier increased weight in the same...

    168gr Matchking problem?????

Re: 168gr Matchking problem????? Yeah, I think there are a "few" people on this forum who have tried for years to tell others 168's aren't THE bullet of choice in a .308. 175/178's will equal or out perform them at every distance to 1k in my experience....and I havn't even tried the heavies...

rem 700 .308 wont hold groups

Re: rem 700 .308 wont hold groups Hey, I understand. I'm a poor man and it takes me months to save up $500 to spend on shooting gear but I refuse to spend good money on something I know wont work. I'm an old gearhead too, had some nice rothods in my day. Want a new SRT Challenger so bad...

rem 700 .308 wont hold groups

Re: rem 700 .308 wont hold groups I wish I'd read this thread better before I posted the first time. You said you were planning on "upgrading" to a bsa 6-24? I dont even want to know what's on it now but I'd say it could be a pretty safe assumption to say your problem is optics related...
