    Re: .223 as a starter rifle? I wouldn't be so locked on to fast twist .223's. Sure, if you have a chioce, get a 9 or faster but dont turn down a great deal on something slower. There are a lot of high quality 55gr match and varmit bullets to choose from that will do really well to 500+...
