    Lapua Scenar 123gr. BC

I am looking for the G7 BC for this bullet. Applied Ballistics has it listed as a new bullet in their data base but I cannot figure out how to download the information and my email to them has so far gone unanswered. Has anyone got this information?

    Question about FL resizing

I have been down this road many times with several cartridges. There is one and only one sure fix for this problem. Fortunately it is an easy one. Buy a set of Redding Competition shell holders. They are made in increments of .002" from +.002" to + .010". Set them up as you would a standard...

Lee Collet Die... Any chance in 6.5 Creedmor

I want one in 6.5x47. According to Lee's website they are not accepting custom orders at this time. I contacted Redding and told them that they ought to consider making a similar die but with more fingers in the collett. The tech acted interested but we shall see.

    Hornady modified case thread

Hornady has quit making the modified case for the 6.5x47. Does anyone know if the threads are M8x.7 or 5/16-36? According to my machinist who checked the gage it could be either. It is too close to tell. Does anyone on this site make this modified case?

    Advice on cleaning brass.

The double pins in the flash holes is the most logical explanation for this problem. Thanks. By the way, I used to wet tumble before decapping but I found out that many primers stick in the pocket after wet tumbling and drying out. The spring loaded Dillon decap die did not punch out about 15%...

    Advice on cleaning brass.

I did punch out the primers before cleaning, I do use Lemishine and I use enough detergent that I have heavy suds in the water when I am finished. The dirt and other crud is in suspension and my brass is clean inside and out. What else could you do except examine the inside of each case. That...

    Advice on cleaning brass.

I ran into a problem that I need some help on. I tumble in a Thumbler with SS media and soapy water. I pour out the dirty water and then fill the drum with clean water and stir the media-cases with a wooden spoon. I do this three or four times until the rinse water comes out clean. I then pour...

123 Scenar or 123 SMK in .260 Remington

I have shot the 123 SMK's for about 2,000 rounds in my bolt gun. I have a 25" barrel and get 2975 fps using 41.3 gr of Varget in Lapua cases. It shoots about .4 MOA 5 shot groups and is equal in accuracy to several other of my best bullet/load combinations. According to the Shooter program at...

    Rifle Scopes Vortex customer service

I got used Vortex HD Razor in trade and although looking new, the previous owner had severely over tightened the turrent set screws and put deep dimples into the locking groove. It was impossible to zero the turrent when the set screws fell close to the dimples because the set screws would...

    260 die for 6.5mm?

I will watch for that. It occurs to me that the major diameter of the decapping rod might hit the case web before the collet is lowered fully onto the neck. Maybe I can have a new decapping pin made if that is the only problem.

How do you clean your rifle?

Good advice, barrel cleaning is overemphasized. I just used up the accuracy life of my .260 Kreiger barrel after 2,500 rounds. I just cleaned it for the fourth time to see if the accuracy fall off was due to a fouled barrel or a burnt out barrel. The barrel is used up. I did not use a break in...

2013 Steel City Precision Rifle Challenge - Birmingham, AL

I liked it! I am fairly new to the tactical game but I have taken to it like a hog to mud. The facilities are first class, the RO's were most helpful and patient, the competitors were helpful to each other, the match ran smoothly, the stages were imaginative. What's not to like? My squad, 4A...

Delubing rounds after running through a progressive

I use a vibratory tumbler with corn cob media. I put about 2 tablespoons of mineral spirits on the media and tumble for 5-10 minutes. It removes all of the lube. You can use the media for many cycles, just add a little mineral spirits from time to time. This also works well with soft lube on...

Muzzle break. Thinking what I'm thinking? S*%# the bed!!

I will give you a case that might explain this. I received my new build in 260 Rem. last year. I bought a break from a vendor on the Hide and had my 'smith install it on a standard Palma contour barrel. I believe it measures about .840" at the 25" length. The brake design had three elliptical...

a serious , strong and rigid bipod

I ordered the Sinclair because of the extra height adjustment over the 6"-9" Harris. When I examined the Sinclair I did not like the design. The lower and most used heights can only be utilized with the legs in the wide position. The legs are set so wide that extending the legs gives very little...
