    Arizona Long range/ ELR

    CowTown is private but it is really fun/convenient. Steel is at random distances from 200 ~ 1000 yards. Ben Avery has a good reputation but I haven't shot there yet. The 1k range in Ogden near Kingman is nice but it has been several years since I was there - good luck!

    Wet Tumbling before Decapping

    I wet tumble (without pins) all my dirty range pickup mixtures (.223/9mm/45 and more) before sorting for reloading, then I do the decap/swage/trim/etc. During the summer a couple hours in the sun dries things. In the winter I put then in on a wire sieve over a floor heating vent.

    55 grain tends to beat up AR500 steel from a 14.5 or 16" barrel - I reload with HDY 68 grain for steel and it is slow enough that my steel doesn't pock mark up. (I like MGM for steel targets)
