Well I ordered me one the other day. Don’t really have the funds for it but that’s what credit cards are for right? I have the Cronus BTR on my 6.5 creedmoor and can’t say enough good about it. I’m excited for to get it but can’t decide to wether to put it on my 7mm mag or 308.
Right now my favorite bolt gun is my 6.5 Creedmoor. It’s built off a Bighorn tl2 action with a 24 inch straight fluted sendoro Benchmark barrel painted in sniper grey. It’s sitting in a XLR Envy chassis topped with a Athlon Cronus BTR. So fun to shoot, wicked accurate and looks awesome.
I’ve had mine for a few months now an love it! I upgraded from a KRG x-ray. I’m not the most experienced long range shooter or know everything about stocks and chassis but you can’t go wrong with this. It has everything you need and it’s was well thought out imo.
I'd go with the Bighorn for sure. I bought a tl2 right before the 3 came out, kinda wish I would have waited but I I love it with no complaints. Don't feel bad about putting it in a b&c stock, I enjoy mine.
For mulies and antelope I've been using my 308 and anything bigger it's been my 7mm rem mag. I'm saving now to built a 280 AI that I think is going to be my new favorite hunting rifle.
I honestly don't know how hard it is to make brass, it's a caliber that I want to build one of these days. I'm a big fan of 7mm bullets myself and think the 7mm-300 would be awesome.
I'd say get the 6.5 out a break on it and you will be fine. My 6.5 is so light recoil it's funny. Since you you don't go to the range as often as you'd like (trust me that's my life too) use that time to stock up on 6.5 ammo. I know 6.5 is more than 223 but to me it's worth having the extra...
I'm working on a LR 308 build and was wondering if anyone has used an Ace Skeleton stock on their 308 and if it worked well? I haven't ever used on on an AR 15 but have always been interested in them. Looking for some feedback on a yay or nay in the 308 platform. This rifle is going to be fun...
I just got done building my first presicion rifle a couple months ago. The two things I can suggest from my experience from your questions is on the stock I got a krg x-ray and love it! Easy to install and every feature you can want (especially for a beginner like me) at a great price. I got and...
