Would you be happy with this? Leave it alone? .260 140g hunting VLD

Shooting the 140's I hope you have the barrel chambered in 260 tactical... thats what I have. It is perfect for those heavy bullets... my groups are all on top of each other bug hole.... If you dont have the 260 tac chamber you need to shoot 130s or 120s

Id like to put togather another bolt action hunting rilfe...243, 7mm08, or stick with .308

7mm08 all the way.... brass selection is irrelevant. You can neck down 308 lapua brass or neck up lapua 243 brass.

    What Next?

Im feeling partial to the 284 win... reloader 17 and 180gr bergers... it may not be the fastest velocity wise but it wont burn out a barrel near as fast, would be just shy of 3000 fps, and well its popular in competition shooting so the inherent accuracy is there... otherwise it wouldnt be a...

Rifle Scopes Scope on a tight budget

For under $1000 I would do a SWFA mil/mil scope any day. Very happy with the ones I have and they work very well. EDIT: But as I went back up to read the caliber. If you want to do long range stuff, I would save money and buy a Steiner or S&B if the rifle is worthy of such a scope.
