    Rookie mistake! Do your load development at 200 or 300 yards... not 100.... gives you a better idea what's going on... I've had that happen with a 23rd before.... If you test at 100 your basically getting a 100 yard load... shoot out further to get a true visual of what's going on... you...

    What fps do yall get out of your 338 lapuas shooting 300 grain berger otm and retumbo powder? What's your go to load with 300 grain bergers? I know many people shoot Sierra 300s but I've had way too good of luck with bergers to start anywhere different.. I'll be running a 28, 29, or 30...

    Get a different brand piece of bras and neck size it only... I bet it fits.. neck is what my next guess was but I didn't get to this thread until now... yep I agree with the above... The lap a brass is thicker and it's probably the problem... Easy to solve too.... sell it and get nobler...

    It's not heard of enough but a 260 remington chamber isn't exactly set up to shoot 139/140 grain bullets best.... it's made for 120s and 130s... The chambering that is correct and made just for 139 and 140 bullets is called a 260 tactical.... it has a slightly longer throat is the difference...

    Take one of your seated rounds from neck sizing only and get a marker and blacken up the bullet from in front of the ogive to the case mouth/start of the brass..... then chamber it/ extract it and see if you get markings from the bullet getting pushed into the lands... that would cause the...

    I run a 260 tactical chamber to seat 140 great bergers right... I full expect to have a long barrel life with it... The 260 and 65 creed aren't blazing fast 2900 for plus rounds anyways... I wouldn't worry about barrel life. It's going to be about as normal is normal is... 6.5x284 however...

    I guess secondary issues for me come in with quality components... for example your not going to find 7WSM Lapua brass... Though I hear nosler is making really good brass now... Brass quality would be my next issue and I wont buy winchester or remington brass for reloading.

    So much for Lapua brass

    I had some 260 I got in the other week that wasnt perfectly round, and some case mouths were out of round... running them through the die set fixed it all, but I still wasnt happy with the quality that lapua is starting to drop to... I have been starting to hear of a lot of problems.
