    Rhutch have you ever looked through a pair of IS binos? Yes or no The whole point is you don't have to be setting or looking for a rest....you can glass while walking, standing on windy days, out of a moving truck etc. Regular top of the line $2500 binos= VHS IS binos = DVR It's really simple.

    Great match, great RO's, great sponsors, ( I got a CS Tactical certificate and already used it on a scope) Shannon did a great job with the match and timing the rain:), tons of new shooters! This is what we need, friendly competitions that grow the sport.

    Can a Savage be made into a competent tactical gun?

    I own multiple Rem 700s and use a Sako TRG .260 as my main match rifle. I have 10k+ rounds under my belt. The best 100 yard 5 round group I have ever shot (.387 measured from edge to edge, it was one hole) was with a friends stock savage .308 with hand loads.

    I agree with this, the Eberlestock, I have owned two, looks to be designed for small people, and does not fit well for anybody over 6'. I have hiked on the AT,JMT,PCT and fit is everything. Most guys at the range tell me their pack fits great and I can see the belt hovering above their hips...
