    I would say it’s overblown. A few have cracked but there are A LOT of these rifles around. If it was a real issue you would hear about it more.     @Dogtown you had a 1.250” barrel made up for your M2 a couple pages back and had noted that it might be hanging up on the mlok screws. Did trimming them down do the trick? Do you think a 1.250 barrel is still a good idea? I was hoping to order a straight 1.250 myself

    On the note of that trigger weight adjustment screw… I just took mine out to see how low I could get my trigger. After re-assembly and putting the skins back on the trigger worked normally once, when I cocked to check again it locked up and the safety wouldn’t engage. Tore the skins off again...

    I thought I read somewhere that it’s perfectly fine to run the trigger without that screw for the lowest pull weight? Any truth to that? Also, finally got my March 4.5-28 mounted, hopefully shooting in a couple days.

    Trigger is great right out of the box, no creep that I can feel and I would guess a 2-2.5lb pull. I was worried about the trigger because it seems like there’s some creepish ones out there and I didn’t get a chance to handle a A2/M2 before I bought. And my old A1’s had the orkan trigger mods...

    I just saw a video from @coldboremiracle using a 6GT barrel. I’ve been out the loop for a couple years, I didn’t know that a cartridge that short would work. How many others have used a 6GT in their SRS? Feed for a standard short mag okay without crazy modifications?

    Pulled the trigger this afternoon on a new SRS-M2 in FDE with a 22” 308 kit. Should get it later this week. Local supplier had a big sale that I couldn’t pass up. Very excited to get back into a SRS and glad I found a M2 in the colour I wanted.

    Having had the A1 in standard and Covert already I really don’t find a use for the covert length for my purposes. A standard length forearm with a 22” barrel is plenty short for me. And since I’m in Canada I can’t play with suppressors, so 16-18” barrels with muzzle breaks aren’t my idea of fun...
